Dr. James A. Gray attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, where he received his undergraduate degree in chemistry and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry.
Following his residency, Dr. Gray pursued a surgical fellowship in orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery. During his time as a surgical fellow at the Posnick Center for Facial Plastic Surgery in Chevy Chase, MD, with clinical privileges at Georgetown University Hospital, he was given the special privilege of working under the direction of world-renowned surgeon, Dr. Jeffrey C. Posnick.

Dr. Kooshas inspiring research has led to several scientific papers with many citations and patents in his field and he was honored to receive the American Association of Dental Research, Long Island section Award. He has also presented his research in many conferences including annual American Association of Endodontists meeting, International Association of Dental Research, and etc.
Dr. Koosha is a specialist in root canal treatments and his passion has always been to save teeth. Throughout his career, he has participated in several community outreach programs and dedicated his time to improve oral health and save teeth. Dr. Koosha is a member of the American Association of Endodontists and Suffolk County Dental Society.
