This office is really old and smelly inside. It was scary walking to the dental chair that was all the way in the back of the office as it was dark and dirty. All the facilities seemed to come from the 80s. Dr.wong was taking his time seeing another patient at the same time he was giving me a cleaning. I couldn't believe how unprofessional he was. I asked him dental questions but he didn't seem to have the patience answering them. He was rude and arrogant but not friendly. It took an hour for him to complete a simple cleaning on me. He kept going back and forth between me and another patient next room. If you are really that busy, find someone else to help you out or do a better job organizing your calendar. Don't waste everyone's time. This place is ridiculously old and nasty and make people feel uncomfortable. If you want a better doctor and service, STAY AWAY and go somewhere else..... Dr.wong didn't admit the fact and he's accusing my review is fake but it's 100 real. I was a patient of this dumb doctor.

2 years ago I left a nice review about this office. Back than I liked staff so I gave 5 stars to them ( not a doctor) however I remember I had an appointment wintertime and I came there and it was closed and when I called they told me they moved Bay Ridge. So I had to go back home. So, I did 3 things in this office. 2 cavities and a crown. Crown ( see attached pic) is much smaller than my tooth use to be and the color is gray. Completely different color. And I remember I was BEGGING doctor:" please make sure you do it good, please. Cause it's very front ". But he didn't care too much. Cavity he did somehow but when I went to another doctor he told me that behind the feeling it was still cavity cause DR Wong didn't clean it all out so I had to do it all over again. And last cavity was on very front bottom tooth. It was a whole in between teeth. And again I was begging him to do his best because it's front and it was noticeable. I remember he told me that he will do cleaning and it will go away. When he did cleaning whole became even bigger and he didn't even fix it. All he said that he will replace old filling on the same tooth and he did and it fell out in 2 months after he did it. I cried and cried and cried. Very upset till today. How can you not to care about people that much? I am nice person I never complained or anything like that. Everything he did I had to redo. I was crying and crying and had to find another office and do the procedure again. I am on file so please don't tell me I wasn't in your office On second pic it's hard to see but filling fell out ( that I was talking about) and now I have to fix that too. I don't recommend this place. Sorry. Stuff is cool but doctor doesn't care about YOU at all. Good luck. Update, maybe I missed one appointment which I dont remember if I did I apologize But doctor did my bottom tooth ( replaced filling) so please don't tell me he didn't. Also, I have an insurance so that was your job to deal with my insurance. I never said bad word about staff. Staff was helpful. But doctor doesn't care about clients at all. You have to do your job properly if you became a doctor. Also doctor didn't safe my tooth ( on top) he did crown, it's not saving my tooth.by the way, If patient is smoker it doesn't mean dentist has to treat you bad

The billing and reception is horrible. I had an appointment and was rescheduled because the receptionist said they wanted to leave early. After waiting for my new appointment, I get a call the day before how they won't see me because my insurance didn't pay them. I had contacted them after my last visit to tell them they submitted the wrong year on the invoice and that is why my insurance wouldn't pay and they simply needed to update the paperwork so my insurance would cover it.

I honestly don't know what are most of these bad reviews but I came in on my first visit and it was one of the best and professional dentist office I've ever visited. Doctor Jake Wong made me feel very comfortable and took his time taken care of me as a patient and answered all my questions and concerns about my teeth. The staff there were very polite and checked me in very quickly. It was obviously a dentist office so you will have to wait till it's your turn, that's totally normal it's not Burger King! I will continue my care and will recommend this office to anyone looking for a caring dentist.

I went to this office last week for help and waited 3 hrs to see the dentist. He wasn't even busy but he was so slow with the person he was with. I finally had to pick up my daughter at camp I had to leave. So he wasted my whole day. I dont know why he makes appointments for 11 am and doeskin see his patients until 3pm. Does not make sense to me. Very unprofessional office ... After this I'll go elsewhere... crook!

I only considering myself as this office "prospective client". I have an appointment with this office at 2 PM 12/17/2021 which I made on Monday 12/13/2021. I arrived at this office at 1:50 PM, but the door is closed. I called them and knocked on the door for few times. However, still no one answered me at all. I left at 2:10 PM. To be fair, this is happened, this office called me at 1:15 PM, and I didn't pick up their call since I have a job to do at that moment. However, this is not my point. Why this office only called me once 45 minutes before my appointment? Why don't left me a message or texted me a message? Why this office wanted to cancel my appointment if this call at 1:15PM is for cancelation purpose. Finally, why this office does not work on Friday 2PM? Now is 4:10 PM, and still no one calls me to explain. Luckily, I didn't stay outside of this office for a long time, but still wasted 2 hours of my time.

Good Dentist, Horrible Operations! I decided to give Jake Wong a try because I wanted to support an Asian owner and saw that he had strong credentials with being a Columbia graduate. Despite reading the reviews, I still decided to give this place a chance. I should have listened to the reviews. I made an appointment one week in advance and provided all my info. The DAY OF my scheduled appt, I get FOUR calls from this office. Yes, 4. The first one was to asked if I could come earlier; that was no biggie, I was working remote and could accommodate. Then 2nd call comes in trying to confirm my insurance number. Fine, I repeat my info and asked the receptionist to repeat it again. 3rd call comes asking to confirm my birth date. Really?! I'm losing patience here, but then call #4 comes and says I'm not eligible. By then, I just hung up because the next words out of my mouth would have been equally unprofessional. I immediately called my insurance. My insurance apologized for my experience, called Jake's office on my behalf and then called me back within 5 mins to tell me that everything was resolved. Now that is professional service. Already traumatized, I walked through their door with mental preparation of more nonsense. To my surprise, the rest of the visit went smoothly and Dr. Wong did a great job. Both him and his assistant were gentle, polite and patiently answered my questions. Seeing that the my actual appt went smoothly, I decided to forgo the earlier experience, deeming it to challenges in new patient setup. I decided to give this place another chance and made an appt for my husband. There's no need to rewrite my husband's review as it is directly below. Again, I was going to give this place another chance until I read the owner's response to my husband's review, denying responsibility of their mistakes. Instead of simply apologizing and owning the mistake, the response was "you sure you went to the right place?" My husband uploads a screenshot of the front door with a clear door number and the response was "not our fault, you went to the wrong place." So then, I wonder, are the "this is a fake account, no such client exists" responses also just denying responsibility? Let me make sure I don't get such a ridiculous response by uploading my ins. claim, proving that I am not a bot. When they decided to cancel my husband's appt last min on a Friday afternoon, we both called the office nonstop for about 15 mins, but let me guess.. "you must have dialed the wrong number?" I used to do reception at a dental office during my college days. It has been a long time since, but I am pretty sure best practices are still (a) repeat ALL info given by patient, (b) verify insurance info 3 days in advance, and (c) leave a damn voicemail if the office is going to cancel a patient's appt.

Very disappointed. It was horrible experience. Dr. Jake see 2 patients at the same time. He didn't try to communicate with me or listen to what I really want. He seems nice but lack of communication. The office is very very old. Equipments and tools have stains. I honestly don't recommend this place. Updated: 1/2/2022 - I can't believe a staff replied on my comment claiming that I don't speak English and I need a translator?? Are you trying to blame me for your lack of communication? Why are you lying? Unbelievable. This is absurd. If your goal in life is to make money alone, you shouldn't be a medical professional. It's not for you.

I am grateful for this office opening during the pandemic while many others were closed. I did not have to wait long for an appointment, nor did I have to wait long to be seen when I arrived at the office. I've read some other reviews here and some people need to appreciate that this office is open 6 days a week, can accommodate you right away and accepts almost all insurances. This office is always fully staffed, I've been to offices where there is only one front desk who is also the assistant running around. This office has staff that works with you one in one. God bless.

I had an appointment with Dr. Wong this afternoon, his staff were extremely welcoming and professional and time management was phenomenal. Dr. Wong was informative, friendly, and took his time to make sure i was calm due to my nervousness going to the dentist. He definitely ease my fear and i will definitely recommend him to my friends and family. Thank you Dr. Wong for patiently fixing my tooth and thank you to your kind staff.

How is this dentist still in business? He is unprofessional and has anger issues. Once something does not go right, he blames it on his assistant or receptionist. He does not care about his patients and employees. I am pretty sure he hates his job. Please do not be his patient and work for him. I hope everyone who goes to his office will please read this and reconsider your dentist. He is not the one. Trust me! He is probably going to reply to this post with...."This patient does not exist in our record, fake account".

I have a few things to say. I found this office on google. The first thing is honestly Dr wong is very good at what he does. He is very thorough and knows exactly what hes doing with his patients. However, the office staff( front desk) on three separate occasions have spoken in such a rude way and act like they don't seem to care whether or not you're their patient. They don't care if you're in pain and honestly what was very clear is that they only cared about leaving early because I've had numerous appointments canceled because they wanted to close early and I could only go at those times due to my work schedule. I clearly explained to them on my last occasion in a very VERY calm and nice tone that I was in pain and if they can just please ask the doctor to do me a favor and fit me in at 2:40 instead of 2 because of work ( I know they always take their last patient at 3) and i was told the doctor doesn't like to be bothered. I clearly said please let him know when he is done with the patient I would appreciate it and When I was called back I was told I could not be seen at all. Schedule an appointment. The doctor will not see you; in a rude tone. Excuse my long review but only visit if you are a person that has all the free time on your hands.
