Botox is the most commonly performed cosmetic procedure in the United States, with over 11 million procedures since 2002. It safely eliminates wrinkles by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles. The most common facial areas treated with Botox are the frown lines between the eyes (caused by the glabellar complex), forehead lines (caused by the frontalis muscle), and crows feet (caused by the orbicularis oculi muscle). Other facial areas that can be improved with Botox include bunny lines on the bridge of the nose and vertical lines around the lips. Dr. Saban understands the science and artistry of using Botox and customizes a treatment plan for each patient with the aim of achieving natural-appearing beauty.
As we all age, smile lines become deeper and facial volume is reduced. The facial fillers we use in our office are made of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring material in human tissue. These fillers, which include Restylane and Juvederm, are injected into the facial lines to restore volume and smoothen the skin. Fillers can also be used conservatively to add lip volume for fuller, younger-looking lips, by following the natural contour of the lips. Dr. Saban aims for results that are subtle yet remarkably supportive of a youthful appearance. We ensure our patients maximum comfort by using topical local anesthetic cream or dental blocks.
