Dr. Chris Gorham, DDS, attended the Baylor College of Dentistry and is board certified, bringing over 15 years experience. You are in good hands with one of the most skilled dentists in the region and one that is committed to continual education and improvement.

We had been with Round Rock Family Dental Center for 18 years. We were very surprised to find out that the X-ray equipment they were using was outdated and the sealants they were using didn't last. We were diligent about going to the dentist every 6 months for our checkup and cleanings - the whole family made an afternoon of it. And we always got great results - a few cavities along the way but that was it. We did our x-rays every year. Our dental health was never a worry for any of us --- well then came 2018. We last had our x-rays in December of 2016 and we had our six-month dental appointments in January 2018. Everyone came back good except our daughter had 4 cavities to be filled. We made an appointment to take care of her cavities and then goodness - a root canal and 5 more cavities! How could this be! Let me explain. 1) After speaking to Dr. Gorham about the x-rays - he explained he had updated his equipment about a year ago. Well that would have been nice to know! 2) My daughter and I had asked Dr. Gorham about the sealants they had when they were younger - he said those didn't last long. Again, would have been nice to know! 3) We were devastated to find out that our daughter had to have a root canal at the age of 16. After getting one of the cavities filled, she started to have horrible pain. Dr. Gorham had mentioned that he tried to save that tooth; however, the cavity was deeper than anticipated. We immediately went back in with the pain and after doing more x-rays he said the tooth decay was now in the root. Yikes! He said he would recommend a root canal. He would do it and then if there were any issues, we could see an endodontist. I asked what an endodontist was. He said, someone who specializes in root canals. I proceeded to say, we will start with an endodontist. So glad we did as apparently there are a lot of botched root canals being done (just google root canals). It is very important you have the best equipment to do these. Needless to say, Dr. Gorham was far from meeting any of these requirements. Sure, not required by the Dental Association; however, good doctors know when to say no thank you and recommend someone to a specialist to ensure done with most absolute accuracy to start! I would have rated Dr. Gorham a zero if I could have. We relied on Dr. Gorham for his guidance and expertise and he failed us terribly. There is something to be said for a doctor who cares and communicates with his patients and knows when to refer to a specialist! We do miss the wonderful assistants and office staff! Sorry it took so long to post this. We have learned a lot over the last year! We now have the best dentist and endodontist!

Dr. Gorham and his staff went above and beyond when I had severe tooth pain. The staff was very nice, attentive, and made sure I was comfortable through the entire process. Dr. Gorham explained my options and gave his professional expertise on how to move forward in terms I could understand. I will be going to his office for all my dental needs and highly recommend him and his staff for anyone who is looking for a dentist.

I've been a patient of Dr. Gorham at Round Family Dental for over 3 years and I'm extremely satisfied with his service and that of Robin, his dental assistant.
