Dr. Greene has a long and extensive experience in pediatric dentistry. Following his graduation from the New York University College of Dentistry, he went on active service in the United States Navy. His first tour was at the Naval Regional Dental Center San Diego where he received training in all areas of general dental practice. This was followed by several years of service traveling the world as a Ship's Dentist aboard the USS Samuel Gompers. Leaving active service, Dr Greene completed a residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Following the completion of his residency, Dr Greene joined the faculty of the University of Connecticut. He left the University of Connecticut to teach pediatric dentistry in Texas at the Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr Greene returned to Connecticut, resumed his faculty position and opened his private practice in pediatric dentistry in Avon in 1984.
Dr. Greene has been a member of the Craniofacial Disorders Team since its earliest days at the University of Connecticut. The team is now located at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford.
Dr. Greene brings a broad breadth of training and experience in all areas of dental care for children, adolescents and patients with special health care needs. He is recognized for his expertise in treating patients with autism. Dr. Greene has privileges at the University of Connecticut Health Center, Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Saint Francis Hospital and Hartford Hospital. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and societies. Dr. Greene is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

While Dr. Greene may be amazing at what he does, unfortunately his office staff do not align with his services/message to provide "Special patient care for all ages"! I have been refused services by a particular staff on multiple occasions dating back years. Due to cancellations beyond my control (that were advised by other medical staff) surrounding a delayed surgery for my son. I am being told yet again years later I can not make an appointment and am unable to move forward with medical care for my son because if this! Apparently I am being "held accountable" per their standards for a cancellation years ago that was out of my control at the time. We are going on two weeks that I have been refused an appointment to prepare for another upcoming procedure planned by Dr. Greene in conjunction with this same medical team. So much for being able to service children with additional needs!

Dr.Greene is hands a amazing dentist and very patient, my son is now 5 and the patience and understanding he demonstrates is more than any mother can ask for when a medical professional is working with there child. Staff is wonderful to and lets not forget the fish tank its a focal point when we go for our cleaning and check up

My boys have been patients of Dr. Greene's for 5+ years. They always and only have good things to say when they are done with their cleanings/appointments. My kids never "fear" going to the dentist, even after having multiple teeth pulled to prepare them both for braces. Dr. Greene is honest, caring, and soft spoken with a calming, quiet demeanor. My boys trust Dr. Greene and that makes me feel great. In addition, the office staff is stellar. Throughout the past 5+ years of both face-to-face and telephone encounters, I have not once talked with any staff member who has not been exceptionally pleasant, helpful and personable. And, somehow, some way, they keep their appointments on schedule! :) Unlike other offices, we have never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time. We are always called at, or within minutes of, our appointment time. My family and I are extremely happy with Dr. Greene's practice. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent dental care. They are definitely a cut above!

Dr Greene was referred to us after our special needs son became too old to be seen by our pediatric dentist. He has treated our son with care and is very patient with him. He has walked us through any and all procedures with thorough explanations and special care. His staff is great and work hard to schedule appointments around our already busy schedule!

They have been extremely welcoming and kind with my children. My youngest has a fear of the dentist and Dr Greene was amazing with her. She looks forward to her visits and my older daughter is very proud of her shiny teeth! Highly recommended! We have traveled to him from south Windsor and now Bristol! I hope he never retires because idk what we will do!

They are great and super friendly! They made my toddlers appointment quick and easy. Also, my son was looking forward to getting a Spider-Man tooth brush and I let him know they might not have one. He told them when we got there and of one of the hygienist went to another room and brought one back for him - it made his day and he ran around brushing his teeth for 20 minutes when we got home. It really is the little things!

Dr. Greene is the BEST dentist around!!! My kids consider appts with him a highlight of their week! What dentist achieves that?? He is thorough. Communicates well with both the kids and me as the parent. He is personable. He's is always on time! We've moved since we first found him and he's worth the 15 mile drive!
