Dr. Joo was born in South Korea. He came to the USA to pursue his education in 1991. He completed his Bachelors Degree in Biology at University of Minnesota in 1997 and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 2001 from New York University. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Joo completed a residency program at the Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn. Since that time, he has been practicing in a large group practice in Northern New Jersey, where He had chance to expand his dental knowledge further by sharing knowledge with many other specialty doctors who worked together at the same office. He continuously educated himself by taking numerous continuing education courses which especially focused on Endodontic and Oral surgery. At year 2006, He completed New York University Implant Dentistry Continuum course and started to practice Implant Dentistry since. Dr. Joo is committed to refining his education so that he can keep his patients care on track with the latest advances and research in dentistry.
In addition to the professional affiliations listed above, Dr Joo is also a member ofAmerican Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Schuylkill County Dental Society. His voluntary association with the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped, makes dental care available for disabled, elderly, or medically compromised individuals in Pine Grove and surrounding communities at no cost.
Dr. Joo is married and has an adorable10 year old daughter, Erin. This little monster is Dr. Joos best play mate. He is a sports enthusiast and enjoys golfing, skiing, biking and other outdoor activities which he can spend time with his family.
Angie is originally from Donaldson, PA. She graduated from The Academy of Medical Arts and Business in 1998. She has been a dental assistant since then working in the oral surgery specialty and general dentistry. She is a wonderful asset to our team and states,'I am truely enjoying working locally in the town I grew up in, getting to meet new people and how interacting with so many familiar faces is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.' Angie resides in Pine Grove with her husband Mark and their two children, Abigale and Nathan. She enjoys spending her time with family and friends, working outdoors, scrapbooking and taking trips to the beach and the family cabin. Angie 's goal is to help patients feel at ease and to enjoy their overall dental experience.

My girlfriend went here and when the filling that she had done kept falling out, had to go somewhere else due to the constant rescheduling. She now needs to have two teeth removed due to the actions.

RUDE STAFF ON PHONES. Tried to make an appointment got attitude the entire time ended up hanging up out of frustration.

This place is absolutely pathetic. Unprofessional and extremely rude staff. The person at the front desk, Katie kept calling me honey after I told her that was unprofessional and inappropriate and asked her to stop. I kept trying to speak and would get interrupted or hung up on. I called back and they would answer the phone and hang up. Pitiful customer service. Would never recommend this place

Fantastic staff, super clean building, very helpful receptionist, thorough dental cleaning, Dr. Joo and his assistant were very understanding about my anxiety and made the filling appointment as painless and relaxing as possible. Highly recommend them, so glad I switched to this dentist.

Told me prior to my tooth extraction that my health insurance would cover bridges and I could get them done before I turned 21 and my insurance changed because if it didn't I said I wanted a root canal. But Then after extraction was done I was told they would not accept my health insurance and there was nothing they could do basically cause they are backed up and want out of pocket payments first or because my insurance pays the smallest amount possible for the procedure. They did not care at all that I was misinformed bye them and showed complete disrespect at the front desk.

Excellent! Awesome staff and Dr.joo was wonderful! I'm usually very nervous when it comes to dentists but this was by far the best experience I ever had. They got me in quick for a horrible toothache. Extraction was totally painless and very quick.. Will definately be going back and I recommend Dr.joo! He was the best conpared to anyone else I have seen.

I went to a few dentists before I found them and they went above and beyond to make me extremely happy, which makes me smile....something I couldn't do before I went there. They worked with me as far as my balance ( after I went a few times) I wouldn't ever recommend any other provider that Ive been to my whole life but they take the cake.
