Dr. Heather Brown is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Meharry Medical College and received her specialist certificate in Orthodontics at Howard University where she graduated as Valedictorian of her class.
Considered one of Houstons leading orthodontists, Dr. Heather Brown has outstanding community achievements that have not gone unrecognized. She was recently featured by the Houstonia Magazine as one of 10 Houston Women Making It Happen and a Top Dentist of 2018. She is a past recipient of the 100 Black Men Phenomenal Woman of The Year Award and has been named one of the 25 Most Beautiful Houstonians by HTexas Magazine. Dr. Brown received the Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce 2012 Pinnacle Award and has been lauded as one of The Top 30 Most Influential Women of Houston.
She remains active in several professional organizations, including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Brown enjoys shopping and traveling, but what she enjoys most is being a mom to her two handsome sons, Jaxon and Jace.

I am an alumnus of Hampton University in Virginia. In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies, playing Texas Hold Em, reading, shopping and vacationing. My weekends are spent cheering my son on in high school and AAU basketball, running after an active toddler and visiting my daughter in college. I am married to my husband Brian and we have four wonderful children, Alexis, Brendan, Brooke and Cort.

During my leisure time, I really enjoy cooking and hiking. I can make a really great Beef Wellington! My wonderful husband Mike and I have taken some extreme hikes through National Parks including The Grand Canyon and Yosemite Falls. Our most daring hike yet was 6,643 feet to the top of Clingmans Dome which is the highest point in Great Smokey Mountains. We have 2 sons, Kyle and Eric. I am proud to be a Marine mom to my youngest son Eric, who honorably served in the United States Marine Corp.

Smile for a Lifetime Foundation is a charitable non-profit organization that provides orthodontic care to individuals who may not otherwise have the opportunity to acquire assistance. The Foundation aims to reach individuals with financial challenges, special situations, and orthodontic needs. Smile for a Lifetime sponsors the orthodontic care of hundreds of patients each year. The Foundation has participating orthodontists throughout the United States.
Dr. Heather Brown is proud to have founded the first and only Houston chapter of Smile For a Lifetime, Dr. Heather Brown Orthodontics Going The Extra Smile. We have a local Board of Directors that reviews applications semi-annually and selects recipients to receive orthodontic care. It is our mission to create self-confidence, inspire hope and change the lives of children in our community in a dramatic way. The gift of a smile can do all this for a deserving, underserved individual who, in turn, can use it to better themselves and our community.
Dr. Heather Brown received her DDS degree from Meharry Medical College. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Brown continued her training at Howard University in Washington, DC. Dr. Brown graduated from Howard as valedictorian of her class and received the award for superior research.

When I walked in the staffed greeted me and everyone was nice I was able to get an x-ray and was given a break down of everything but when the lady came in to talk about my insurance she walked in she did not greet me at all she gave me a nasty stare and looked at me up and down and just sat down and proceeded to retrieve the my information.When everything was finished I walked out and she was just sitting in the chair looking at me nasty as I was walking out, not sure what her problem is but she needs to leave her attitude at home. I don't look my age so most people older people tend to treat me rudely like I'm a kid but at the end of the day its a professional setting and no matter who the person is everyone she be treated with respect.

I try support black owned business but my experience was horrible. Dr. Brown is overbooked and rarely sees her patients. You will see a dental technician for braces. The hours of operation are horrible as she's open Monday through Wednesday and half of a day Thursday. They will only see you every 8 weeks for braces so if your teeth move before that time and the braces start to give you discomfort, you'll have to deal with it. My mouth was getting cut up by the braces because they were lose. They would not fix the problem by tightening them, I was told they didn't have time and it could only be done when I was scheduled every 8 weeks. This happened several times so I had them remove my braces after 7 months due to horrible service. I wouldn't recommend anyone to her office. She's didn't even discuss the issue or apologize about her horrible service. Just chalkedit up to a new pair of Fendi shoes she bought with my money. Money wasted as I have to pay for braces all over again. Do not pay her up front! Pay the minimum amount and see what kind of service you get.

Just okay. I honestly wasn't really satisfied after almost 3 years, I just wanted to be done with them. I felt like just a number being serviced by a new intern each time which was somewhat annoying because sometimes they'd mess up and it causes an inconvenience when you have to come back to get it corrected. Dr. Brown hardly spends any time with her patients and the overall service was impersonal. Sometimes you are met with slight defensiveness whenever you have a concern. Lastly, hours of operation are inconvenient as well. I really question these 5 star reviews from reviewers with a history of less than 10 reviews. I'm not buying it and wasn't impressed with my experience.

Recently went to see Dr. Brown again for an appliance repair. I had the honor of meeting Misty! She did the necessary repair and she was amazing!!! Very patient and kind. This is the best repair that I have had, even better than the original . I would highly recommend this office for any orthodontic needs!

Awesome environment! I was definitely hesitant with getting braces and did not plan on doing anything but ask questions and view options. After my consultation and the answering of my all questions, I left there with braces same day! The employees and Dr.Brown are extremely knowledgeable,personable, friendly, and funny. The office is comfortable and while I was there I got to see that they are an well oiled strong team. I was in and out well within my lunch break and I am excited to start the journey. I would recommend her to everyone!

I attended her annual summer internship for high school and college students. I'm very pleased to say that it was fun and engaging. I learned a lot about the basics of dentistry and how to get into the field of dentistry. I love her dental assistants and their positive dispositions. Dr. Brown is one of the best. She lights up the room when she walks in. This orthodontic office is the best of the best.

I had a consultation with two other Orthodontist offices before coming to Dr. Brown for my third. Everyone here was so friendly and welcoming and the staff explained everything to me! There was no doubt that this was the place I wanted to get my braces at. They are very responsive and truly care for their patients. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Brown and her staff. Quality work, Southern hospitality, and affordable services. I would recommend Dr. Brown 10/10 times, every time on days ending in Y, and twice on Sunday! :) All jokes aside, I needed to get braces to align one of my canine teeth in this very small space and 18 months later, it looks amazing. I am grateful!!!

Customer service, professionalism, and people-oriented environment I've ever experience in my adult life. All I can say is that Dr. Brown and her crew made my experience one to never be forgotten. If you're nervous, unsure, or uncomfortable facing the many challenges of orthodontics, look no further because I highly recommend Dr. Heather Brown's office. The staff is always nice, facility is always clean. Dr. Brown is excellent fixing your smile. It has been nothing but pleasant coming here. Cost was better than a lot of other places and I feel as she gifts you more on your investment. Oh and she's from my home state ++ "Mississippi". She has been wonderful in helping me achieve the smile I desire.

I had the most amazing 2 year experience getting my teeth straightened and treated with Dr. Brown and her staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful it feels like you are being treated by family. When I moved to Dallas in the middle of my treatment, they were very accommodating and made sure to make a way for me to still be treated there. I definitely recommend coming here to get your braces and Invisalign (I did both)! 10/10

I have a whole new smile! Dr. Brown and her team gave me a whole new level of confidence through this experience. My teeth look amazing, it literally looks like I have veeners on. Everyone was friendly and accommodating even in the midst of the pandemic. Worth the money! 10/10 recommend.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!! Clean and welcoming environment, professional staff, punctual and friendly. If you are searching for elite care in the area of orthodontics, then I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Heather Brown and her awesome staff. High 5 to my tech Gloria who never missed any of my appointments over the year and half of delivering excellent follow-up care. YES! I am totally delighted with the Invisalign orthodontic treatment I received! It was well worth investing with the Dr. Brown team to obtain my million dollar smile!!!
