Dr. Heather Brown is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Meharry Medical College and received her specialist certificate in Orthodontics at Howard University where she graduated as Valedictorian of her class.
Considered one of Houstons leading orthodontists, Dr. Heather Brown has outstanding community achievements that have not gone unrecognized. She was recently featured by the Houstonia Magazine as one of 10 Houston Women Making It Happen and a Top Dentist of 2018. She is a past recipient of the 100 Black Men Phenomenal Woman of The Year Award and has been named one of the 25 Most Beautiful Houstonians by HTexas Magazine. Dr. Brown received the Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce 2012 Pinnacle Award and has been lauded as one of The Top 30 Most Influential Women of Houston.
She remains active in several professional organizations, including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Brown enjoys shopping and traveling, but what she enjoys most is being a mom to her two handsome sons, Jaxon and Jace.

I am an alumnus of Hampton University in Virginia. In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies, playing Texas Hold Em, reading, shopping and vacationing. My weekends are spent cheering my son on in high school and AAU basketball, running after an active toddler and visiting my daughter in college. I am married to my husband Brian and we have four wonderful children, Alexis, Brendan, Brooke and Cort.

I have two beautiful daughters, Sol and Cristina, that keep me very busy in my spare time. When I do have a little free time, I enjoy going to the movies, trying new cuisines and traveling to new places around the world.

During my leisure time, I really enjoy cooking and hiking. I can make a really great Beef Wellington! My wonderful husband Mike and I have taken some extreme hikes through National Parks including The Grand Canyon and Yosemite Falls. Our most daring hike yet was 6,643 feet to the top of Clingmans Dome which is the highest point in Great Smokey Mountains. We have 2 sons, Kyle and Eric. I am proud to be a Marine mom to my youngest son Eric, who honorably served in the United States Marine Corp.

Before becoming an Orthodontic Assistant, I served in the United States Army. Im a bit of an introvert, however, I am known to lighten the atmosphere by telling a joke or two to keep everyone laughing. I truly believe laughter is the best medicine to living a happy life.

Smile for a Lifetime Foundation is a charitable non-profit organization that provides orthodontic care to individuals who may not otherwise have the opportunity to acquire assistance. The Foundation aims to reach individuals with financial challenges, special situations, and orthodontic needs. Smile for a Lifetime sponsors the orthodontic care of hundreds of patients each year. The Foundation has participating orthodontists throughout the United States.
Dr. Heather Brown is proud to have founded the first and only Houston chapter of Smile For a Lifetime, Dr. Heather Brown Orthodontics Going The Extra Smile. We have a local Board of Directors that reviews applications semi-annually and selects recipients to receive orthodontic care. It is our mission to create self-confidence, inspire hope and change the lives of children in our community in a dramatic way. The gift of a smile can do all this for a deserving, underserved individual who, in turn, can use it to better themselves and our community.
Dr. Heather Brown received her DDS degree from Meharry Medical College. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Brown continued her training at Howard University in Washington, DC. Dr. Brown graduated from Howard as valedictorian of her class and received the award for superior research.
