Originally from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Dr. Habbel now enjoys practicing in the Southampton area and spending time with his wife and three children. He is also an avid soccer fan and tennis player and an active member of his church and community. Dr. Habbel chose dentistry as a career because it allows him to exercise his creativity while helping patients maintain both their general and oral health. By focusing on comprehensive patient care with optional cosmetic enhancement, Dr. Habbel demonstrates his commitment to his patients' overall well-being. He also has the education and the expertise to put his ideals into practice.
Dr. Habbel received his B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in 1977. He then studied dentistry at the Temple University School of Dentistry, receiving his D.D.S. in 1982. After graduation, Dr. Habbel completed a one-year residency and a one-year fellowship in 1983 and 1984 at the renowned Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. His residency training enables him to offer you the convenience of comprehensive periodontic and endodontic care with no need for outside referrals. In 1983, Dr. Habbel went into private practice and has been practicing ever since.
Dr. Habbel is a member of several recognized dental organizations, including being a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Dentistry and a member of ITI, International Team for Implantology where he meets monthly with world renowned implant specialists.

The Best Friendly and Happy staff, Dr Habbel keeps my teeth in great health and always works with me to make the right dental decisions. Been coming here for years and it is well worth the drive and expense for personal attentive and professional Dental care.

Dr. Habbel is a excellent dentist. I am usually nervous going to the dentist. His wonderful staff and Dr. Habbel made me feel at ease. He explains before the work what he is going to do & what I need on the next visit. I highly recommend Dr. Habbel and his very friendly & awesome staff.

Kim is my regular hygienist, and she is very thorough but gentle. I highly recommend her and Harry Habbel's practice. Both the dentist and hygienist will provide excellent dental care. I have been a patient there for more than 30 years.

I went to this office as I had a filling fall out and there was a gap I wanted to get filled. He then set me up on a multi-week treatment plan to address several cavities. I went along with it, until halfway through he told me I didn't have any insurance left to cover it. At this point, he never addressed my original issue. I complained that he never solved the thing I originally came in for and he took care of it, but he had already started a root canal. The root canal then took four appointments to do one root canal, which was never finished. He ended up messing it up and sending me to another Dentist to finish it. His office never followed up again and I've been left with half a tooth in my mouth for months (no crown on the root canal). Ultimately I feel like I received bad treatment, was not cared for in a way that resolved the issues, and was left in a worse state than when I originally visited him.

Just an all around great dental practice with an amazing team of professionals! Kim is a fantastic hygienist, my teeth always feel 'squeaky clean' when she's done; Cheryl, at the front desk, is always willing and patient in answering my endless billing questions; and Dr. Harry is a skilled professional who always explains your treatment alternatives, without pressuring for a specific option.
