Dr. Jennifer Chew received her dental training at UCSF School of Dentistry and graduated in 2009. A former news reporter, Dr. Chew understands the power of information and communication and how to utilize them to offer the best patient care possible.
Born in Korea and raised in Hawaii, Dr. Chew has been living in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1997. She has an amazing husband and two fun-loving boys who keep her very busy. In her free time, she enjoys making dishes from her childhood for family and friends--Kalbi, Portuguese bean soup, chocolate butter mochi, anyone?
Wanting to open her dream practice with someone who has a similar dental philosophy and high standard of care, Dr. Chew teamed up with dental school classmate Dr. Finones to open Nest Dental in Burlingame. She looks forward to treating you soon!
Dr. Preethi Poulose, a Bay Area native, graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. She received her DDS from UCSF in 2009. There she met fellow classmates Dr. Finones and Dr. Chew. After completing a dental hospital based residency at the University of Texas in Houston in 2010, Dr. Poulose returned to the Bay Area and entered private practice.
Dr. Poulose is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the San Mateo County Dental Association. Her mission is to provide high quality dental care in a respectful and compassionate environment. Her main priority is to make all patients feel comfortable during their visit, taking time to address any issues or concerns they may have. While not practicing dentistry, Dr. Poulose enjoys reading, traveling, watching the 49ers, and spending time with her husband and two young children.
Dr. Derek Nishimori was born and raised in Southern California but has made the Bay Area his second home. He attended the University of California, Berkeley where he earned his bachelors degree in Biology. Following his undergraduate education, Dr. Nishimori pursued his DDS degree at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Since graduation, he has enjoyed practicing dentistry all over the Bay Area and meeting patients from many different backgrounds. He also enjoys joining dental mission trips to third world countries where he has had many rewarding experiences providing free dental care to underserved communities.
Dr. Nishimori treats his patients like family and strives to deliver the highest quality of care. He does everything he can to make his patients feel comfortable and part of the treatment process. Dr. Nishimori is a member of the American Dental Association and California Dental Association. He regularly attends continuing education courses and study clubs to further his knowledge of dentistry. When hes not looking at teeth, Dr. Nishimori enjoys fishing and watching sports.
