Dr. Gregg Lombardo was born and raised in Glastonbury, Connecticut. After acquiring his college education from Wake Forest University in 1990, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 1994. He further advanced his dental and surgical training by serving in one-year positions as a general practice resident at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina; an oral surgery teaching fellowship in the Department of Oral Surgery at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio; and as an oral surgery intern at Louisiana State University in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. All of these positions were served prior to the completion of his four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia in 2001.
Dr. Lombardo is Board Certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has served as an adjunct professor in oral surgery at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill since 2006.
Dr. Lombardo has devoted his professional career to all aspects of his specialty with a specific interest in dental implants and dentoalveolar surgery. He regularly exceeds the continuing educational requirements in North Carolina and is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
