Itisthe art of dentistry that I love, it is the science of dentistry that I understand and it is the passion for dental education either for myself, a patient or for a student that I most enjoy about my profession.
A native Texan, Dr. Marye grew up in Dallas and graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory. After earning his Bachelors degree from the University of Texas at Austin, he dedicated his career to healthcare and the practice of dentistry.
Prior to dental school, he became a Licensed Paramedic and worked as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas for five years. While attending Baylor College of Dentistry-Texas A&M Health Science Center, Dr. Marye participated in internships at Childrens Medical Center and the Indian Health Service. He also participated in the Senior Clinic Honors Program and received awards from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and from the Organization of Teachers of Oral Diagnosis. Since graduating, Dr. Marye has attended continuums in Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry, Implant Dentistry and Adult Orthodontics. He has completed many other continuing education courses in preventive, restorative and aesthetic dentistry in his ten years of practice.
Dr. Marye has served as the Dallas Mavericks Team Dentist since 2002. He has served as adjunct faculty for Baylor College of Dentistry in the School for Public Health as a Preceptor and for Texas Womens University in the School of Dental Hygiene where he has taught Embryology, Histology and Head and Neck Anatomy for the past seven years.
Dr. Marye volunteers his time to his childrens pursuits at their school, Liberty Christian and to the dental clinic at Christian Community Action. He has also served as treasurer on the board for the North Texas Book Festival, a foundation supporting literacy programs in libraries and schools in North Texas.
Dr. Marye and his wife, Rachel, have a small farm in Bartonville. Their family includes three children: Gabrielle, George and Gianna, three dogs: Gus, Sugar Bear and Pee Wee, three barn kitties: Roscoe, Maybelle and Elsie, three horses: Bueno, Stormy and Booger, and four mini donkeys: Brushy, Flossy, Coco and Sharann. They also have a few chickens so patients are welcome to farm fresh eggs.
Dr. Robert Marye and Smiles of Texas in Bartonville welcomes Dr. Janet Gonzalez as an associate to the practice. She practiced family and cosmetic dentistry in Coppell for over 21 years. She has returned to teaching part time at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry and practing part time at Smiles of Texas. She feels her love and enthusiasm for dentistry has found a perfect outlet with Smiles of Texas.
Dr. Gonzalez graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas in 1991. Prior to dental school, she practiced dental hygiene for 12 years. She has a strong background in periodontal care (gum disease), Invisalign (clear braces), implant restoration, sedation dentistry, as well as cosmetic and restorative family care.

I pay extra and drive extra because the staff here is wonderful. They take the time to explain things to you and even the specialists they have referred me to have been great. Cannot recommended them enough.

Have never been to this dentist practice, but if Dr. Janet is connected with it you can never go wrong with her, Went to her for years in Coppell until she sold her practice and she is the greatest. Service beyond expectations.

A+, very experienced and explains everything well. Great @ providing comfort during procedures. Fair and reasonable prices for his services. As with most things in life you get what you pay for. I learned the hard way that dental work is not an item to shop for the lowest price on. He was the Dentist for the Dallas Mavericks for years. I have referred several people to him and all have been very satisfied.

I am a huge dentist "phobe" and Dr. Marye all but cured me of that. He did a great job and I love Taylor the hygienist! The staff are all lighthearted and easy going and the office is well run and relaxed. Just what this doctor needed. A++.

Dr Marye is really nice and knowledgeable; worth every penny. However, his assistant Beverly is awful. She will talk over you, act defensive to informational questions and her response to discomfort about the respect level is: "I Don't care.. I have been here two years and I am not going anywhere". She will complain that it is crazy around the office. I truly feel really bad for this great dentist. Huge improvement needed in the knowledge, stress management and patient service level.

this is the dentist you want to see if you have plenty of money because if you dont, do not bother going here for care, even if your whole family has seen dr marye for over a decade, he does not want patients who make twenty-five dollar payments on a three hundred dollar balance no matter that they are disabled and unable to work, because as he said that is what will run his business into the ground and then how will he help anyone! so if you dont have the full balance dont go there, they dont want your business, you could be responsible for running his business into the ground and deprive the world of a dentist!!! ps my whole family has decided to stop seeing him based on what he did to me.
