Meadows Family Dentistry was established as a private dental office initially focusing on pediatrics and special needs dentistry. Over time, Dr. Meadows began partnering with Dr. Insoft and Dr. Hurst to provide orthodontic services for children and adults. The parents of our pediatric patients were always asking why cant you see adults too?

Eventually, in 2014, Dr. Meadows expanded the practice to be able to care for adult patients, and Dr. Shamsia Shafi joined us as our adult general dentist. In an effort to serve more pediatric patients and add additional office hours, Dr. Meadows invited Dr. Maria Pardo to join the Meadows Family Team and care for pediatric patients.

Dr. Meadows was born and raised in Belgrade, North Carolina. He received his bachelors degree in biology from The University of North Carolina, Pembroke. After graduation, he took a leadership consultant position at Theta Xi Fraternity Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, for one year before entering dental school.

At this point, he decided to enter into the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill for a 2-year general dental practice residency. He further developed his skills in sedation dentistry and medically compromised patients while serving as Chief Resident in his 2nd year.

Dr. Meadows always possessed a desire to work with children. So once he completed his residency at UNC-CH, he moved to Rhode Island and entered a comprehensive 2-year pediatric dentistry residency. He graduated from Lutheran Medical Center at St Josephs Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.

In 2008, Dr. Meadows completed the rigorous process of board certification (written and oral examinations) with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Hes licensed to practice dentistry in Florida and North Carolina.

Dr. Meadows is also a member of several dental organizations including the American Dental Association of Florida, West Coast Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry. He served as the past leader of the Manatee County Dental Societys community outreach program. He has a special interest in mission work, and regularly volunteers his services at Remote Area Medical events.

Staying on top of the latest innovations in orthodontics through continuing education ensures my patients the best care available. My dedicated team and I regularlyattend seminars such as the Damon Forum and the Invisalign Ortho Summit. By providing state-of-the-art orthodontic appliances, I can give my patients a broad, beautiful smile with little discomfort in the quickest possible treatment time.

In addition to staying up to date with continuing education, I am an active member of several professional organizations, allowing me to be involved with the greater dental and orthodontic communities.

I am honored to have been published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and chosen as a Top Dentist in Tampa Bay Magazine. Invisalign has recognized our office as Top 1% of Invisalign Premier Elite Providers in the country! This allows me to offer my patients effective and aesthetic option to improve their smile.

I am a native of Baltimore, MD, and have called St. Petersburg my home for over 40 years. My wife, Tammy, and I have two children, Brandon and Haley, and two dogs named Oreo and Lucy. When I have free time, I enjoy stand up paddle boarding with my dogs and wife, watching my daughter dance, and going fishing with my son.

Orthodontics is the greatest profession in the world. I couldnt imagine doing anything else! I use my education and hands-on training to the best of my abilities to give my patients the best results possible. I do whatever it takes to make my patients completely happy with their treatment and strive to achieve perfection!

Continuing my education is the best way I can ensure my patients receive the most effective care. I keep up to date on the newest technologies such as Invisalign, Damon Smile, and Insignia, throughout the year. I am also a member of several professional associations, giving me the chance to share ideas with other dental and orthodontic professionals.

During my years in dental and orthodontic school, I was honored to receive numerous awards, including admission into the Phi Delta Honor Society, the Delphi Society, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. I was also awarded the Outstanding Leadership and Academic Excellence Award by the American Association of Women Dentists.

I am a native of St. Petersburg, FL, and have lived in Seminole since 2006. My husband, Gabriel, and I have two children, George and Dominique. When Im not in the office, I can be found spending time with my family and traveling.

Dr. Maria Pardo was born in Cuba, raised in Miami and attended dental school at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. She had always wanted to work with children due to the kindness of her own pediatrician as a child, therefore she later completed the Mini-Pediatric Dental Residency at the University of Florida. She now proudly enjoys her role as a general dentist working with children within Meadows Family Dentistry.

Dr. Pardo has lived in Bradenton since 1994 where she shares her life and love with her husband and 2 teenage sons. She loves dogs, birds, and horses and has a toy-size Maltese/shih-tzu mix named Patch.

Dr. Pardo gets a thrill out of Taekwon-Do and after 5 years, she has achieved her advance red belt and is currently preparing to test for her 1st degree black belt. She also loves cold weather and the mountains, reading, salads, pistachio almond ice cream, and little burger with her ketchup. Her perfect day starts with breakfast at noon and is spent with her husband and sons.

Dr. Curci graduated with honors from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina in 1984. He continued his education in comprehensive dentistry at the University of Florida College of Dentistry and continues to educate himself on the latest cutting-edge dental care to better serve his patients.

I strive to ensure my patients are satisfied with the diagnostic, preventative, and specialized procedures I administer. In order to best serve our patients needs, I make sure that we are able to offer the most up-to-date, innovative, and effective oral health care.

I practice a comfortable, health-centered dentistry with a strong emphasis on getting to know each of my patients. I am committed to taking the time to listen carefully, describe all the treatment options, and fully explain what I have determined to be the best course for every patients individual needs.

Education Dr. Preciado received his first Doctorate from the Colombian College of Dentistry in Bogota, Colombia, and went on to study at the New York University College of Dentistry. He has since taken many continuing education courses, including aesthetic dentistry, endodontics, and dental implants.
