I had a root canal performed. Dr. Shinn was very honest and up front with me prior to. Procedure went well with very little pain post treatment.

Dr. George B. Shinn Jr. was good at explaining the root canal procedure. Follow up was a day after procedure. Office inquired about how I was feeling and if I had any concerns. 6month follow up to check on any adverse reaction to the root canal, there wasn't any. I totally recommend Dr. Shinn for any endodontic work that needs to be done.

Where do I start. I was having issues with a tooth that had a prior root canal and I was recommended to see Dr. Shinn. I was able to get in quickly. Upon my arrival the the lady at the front desk was so sweet and pleasant. She had me fill out the standard new patient paperwork and took care of contacting my dentist and getting my insurance information. I recommend getting in 10 minutes early to square this away and park. I didn't have a wait and was taken to my little exam room. My room was beautiful and man did it have a great view. The assistant came and took a digital x-ray. Than I got the pleasure of meeting Dr. Shinn. Let me start with I'm nervous dental patient as most people are. He was warm and very kind. He listened to my concerns regarding my little tooth. He examined the area and took notes. You could see that he genuinely cared and want to make sure he took his time to figure out the game plan. He was able to pin point the issue and went right to work. The man has hands light as a feather. Remember I'm a nervous person, he administered the numbing and I didn't feel a thing. At that moment I knew everything was going to be okay. He talked me through the process and patched me right up. He sent me home with some medication and care instructions. I woke the next morning with ZERO pain!!! I didn't have to take any pain medication after the first day. Then to top up off the day after first thing in the morning his receptionist called to check how I was feeling. It's great to know that there are places out there that still care and have exceptional service. Not to mention honesty not taking advantage of people. Let's just say this I hope to never have to use his services again LOL but if you're in the Los Angeles area I highly recommend seeing Dr. Shinn. I live in Las Vegas but made the trip as he was highly recommended to me. It was worth it. His office is located on the 12th floor. There is a parking structure within the building that's ample. If you're lucky you might be able to snag street parking, but keep time in mind as street parking is only two hours. Thank you to the staff and Dr. Shin for being great at what you do!

Dr. Shinn and his office staff were very friendly and professional. I have had bad experiences with previous general dentist in the past. Dr. Shinn performed a root canal and saved my tooth. I am so grateful.

Dr. Shinn was extremely knowledgeable and very patient. He took the time to answer all of my questions. Follow up call a few hours after the procedure was very unexpected but very appreciated. Staff was also very nice and professional. I'd give more stars if I could!

Dr. Shinn, Denise, and Diana were so kind, helpful, professional, and accomodating. I went to LA on a road trip, but was having severe nerve pain in my teeth. Denise was quick to lend a helping hand and help set up an appointment for me on a whim. I was in severe pain, but she consoled me and told me she would get me scheduled. The day I arrived in LA, I went straight to Dr. Shinn's and got my first root canal done by him. He was so nice, funny, and professional. I could tell he knew what he was doing and he took his time to make sure the procedure was done right. After treatment, I still noticed nerve pain and Dr.Shinn notified me that the nerves in a nearby tooth were going bad as well. So, I had to get that one worked on as well. Two root canals later, I am finally pain free and feeling so much better. I really appreciate them and cannot thank them enough!!! Thank you Dr. Shinn and team! The next time I go to Cali, I hope to see Dr. Shinn and his team again (not for a root canal) but just to stop by and say hello!

Whenever I visit Dr. Shinn's office, I feel comfortable as I am greeted by Denise. Diane welcomes me and prepares me for my dental procedure. While I wait to see Dr. Shinn, I am soothed by smooth jazz, which I love. Dr. Shinn is one of the most knowledgeable, and he provides "pain-free" dental services for his patients. You will not be disappointed! Dr. Shinn is the best!

I had an incredible experience with Dr. Shinn. He spent a lot of time evaluating my situation and explaining the process. He is such a kind and calm person which helps make you feel very comfortable. I only needed one Tylenol after the procedure, and so far haven't needed anymore pain killers! I highly recommend.

DR. SHINN IS AMAZING!!!!!!..FIRST OF ALL I HAVE NEVER HAD TO HAVE A ROOT CANAL AND HAVE HEARD HORROR STORIES OF THE PAINFUL EXPERIENCES HAD BY MANY. MY EXPERIENCE WAS PAIN FREE..IF YOU NEED A ROOT CANAL PLEASE SEE DR SHIMM. HE EXPLAINED THE PROCESS AND LITERALLY SAVED MY TOOTH THAT A BOOTLEGGED DENTIST IN NORTHRIDGE TRIED TO KNOCKOUT. PLEASE GO SEE YOUR DENTIST.. BECAUSE OF COVID I DIDN'T GO FOR MY REGULAR CLEANINGS AND HAD TO HAVE ROOT CANAL. THE ATMOSPHERE IN THE OFFICE WAS VERY RELAXED DR. SHINN HAS GREAT TASTE IN MUSIC WHICH ALSO HELPED THE PROCEDURE GO SMOOTHLY. I CAN'T LEAVE OUT HIS EXCEPTIONAL STAFF DENISE AND DIANE ARE AMAZING..DENISE CHECKED WITH ME HOURS AFTER MY PROCEDURE TO SEE HOW I WAS FEELING AND IF I NEEDED ANYTHING..WHO DOES THAT IN 2021? SUPERIOR DR.. PHENOMENAL CUSTOMER SERVICE GREAT OFFICE ..I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. SHNN FOR YOUR ENDODONTIST NEEDS.GIVE THEM A CALL YOU WON'T REGRET IT AND YOUR TEETH WILL LOVE YOU FOR IT.. Thankful they take emergency appointments on Saturdays. Dr. Shinn is very kind, professional, and very knowledgeable in his specialty. If you have any sort of pain or issues that are beyond that of your regular DDS, this is the provider to see Great staff also, Denise communicated with me before and after my appointment, she followed up to see how I was doing and if I had any further questions or concerns. Just when I thought my last resort was to just get hit by a bus, i found them Look no further!

I had a wonderful experience. Dr. Shinn was able to take me same-day for an emergency root canal. Dr. Shinn was attentive, listened patiently to me describe my pain, and then diagnosed the issue. He explained the steps of the procedure and made sure I was very numb. He was also very pleasant and funny and made me comfortable in the midst of my pain and anxiety from a dreaded root canal procedure. I definitely recommend him to others.....and will definitely go back (though I pray I won't have to by keeping these existing teeth healthy!!). The front desk manager, Denise, and dental assistant Diana were also very kind and helpful. Denise worked to get my prescription filled after hours which was soooo helpful since I was in terrible pain. I appreciated that she went the extra mile to intervene. Overall, I had a wonderful experience despite terrible dental circumstances.

I was referred to Dr Shinn 2 days ago from my general dentist Dr Downs. I needed an emergency root canal and he adjusted his schedule to see me the same day. I've never had or needed a root canal so quite naturally I was a bit anxious and upset. He and his staff took very good care of me. He explained the whole process and performed exactly as explained. My anxiety immediately lessened by his chair side manner. I had my own music but I found myself turning mine off and listening to his! That is rare! Let's not forget the great view from the dental chair and the cozy blankets that he provides for comfort. After that long day, His assistant Denise called me that evening to check on me. Dr Shinn is the root canal whisperer!

Dr. Shinn is fantastic! I came to this office after two bad experiences with two other general dentists (hard to access canals, multiple visits for the same tooth, and being told that I would need to have my tooth extracted). Dr. Shinn was able to perform the procedures with NO problem. Don't go anywhere else! I had two molar root canals. He explains everything you can expect before you get started. There was no pain during the procedure and only slight soreness for the first two days once the anesthesia wore off. Very happy with the experience.
