Upon graduation from New York University College of Dentistry in 2000 she entered a General Practice Residency Program at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. During her residency she had the opportunity to enhance and refine her skills in all areas of adult dentistry for the medically compromised individual. She was awarded a certificate of completion in 2001.
Immediately following the completion of her first residency, she was chosen to be the Chief Dental Resident in the second year General Practice Residency Program at York Hospital in York Pennsylvania. During her year at York Hospital Dr. Bhat had the opportunity to work with adults as well as children in all phases of dentistry. She became particularly interested in the treatment of children and had the privilege as Chief Resident to expand her clinical skills beyond the office setting into the operating room by treating children under general anesthesia. Upon completion, Dr. Bhat considered a faculty position at York Hospital, but decided to move to sunny North Carolina. Although Dr. Bhat is a general dentist, in 2005, she decided that she wanted to open a childrens dental practice because she loves working with kids and cant imagine doing anything else. She has owned and operated Geeta Bhat, DDS PA for the past 15 years and counting providing a great dental experience to children.
Geeta lives in Holly Springs area with her 3 children. She is an animal lovers and boasts a house full of furry pets. She has a papipoo, Sir Renly, and a tabbly cat Mosley Rose, a Maine Coone mix named Fozzie Bear and a cat they named Mr. Tumnus who was rescued from a hoarding situation which left him deaf. The incredible medical team at the SPCA of wake country removed both ear drums to save Mr. Tumnus and Dr. Bhat adopted him when she was serving on the board of Directors for the SPCA. In her spare time Geeta trains in Brazilian Jiujitsu, plays chess, and dances. She is a 3 time Masters World Champion in Jiujitsu was promoted to purple belt this past year. She travels all over the world attending jiujitsu camps, seminars and competitions. She has been training in Jiujitsu for the past 9 years and is committed to receiving her black belt one day. She also loves to dance and favors Country Western dancing and West Coast Swing, Lastly, she plays chess weekly and takes bike trips frequently traveling both domestically and internationally. She is always on the go between work, family and her hobbies.

We brought our autistic son in for a cleaning and checkup. We hadn't ever been able to get him to cooperate for a true cleaning/checkup without anesthesia, but Ms. Stephany showed us that it was indeed possible. She so patiently and gently worked with our son that she was able to get full x-rays, brushing, flossing and even scraping done without any sedation! This lady is beyond a rock star, I think superhero would be a more accurate term. Thank you for your stunning patience and compassion while helping our son, Ms. Stephany!

Everyone should have their teeth cleaned and examined at least twice a year, so if it has been a while since you visited a dentist, don't delay in scheduling an appointment. From the Front Desk to the Dentist's Chair everything is perfect

Dr. Bhat is wonderful! My 5 year old daughter chipped a back tooth and Dr. Bhat and Uniqua made it so easy to fix. I recommend Dr. Bhat for all pediatric dental services!

I am overdue on writing this review, but wanted to share a message. Since some of us rely heavily on reviews to get a scope of an establishment, I believe honesty is the best policy. So I will be sharing some good with the bad. In our more recent visits I have noticed a decline in professionalism and cleanliness. The cleanliness being the upmost concerning. On our last visit, our room was noticeably unkept. The trash was overflowing, tools/materials seemed to be unorganized, and overall the room just felt neglected. This is not the impression you want to see walking into a dentist appointment. In actuality, this could just be a matter of more quality training, as I want to assume our dental assistant was new. If this had been our first visit ever, I would honestly not go back based on that. However, I give them a little more credit due to previous visits. Uniqua is my boys' FAVORITE! She is extremely patient, kind, professional, and sweet. I highly recommend her, particularly for children that may seem apprehensive about dental visits. Second to Uniqua for a recommendation is Stephaney. My daughter had her first baby/toddler visit here and it did not start out well. I believe it was mainly due to her association in thinking she was at a doctor's office getting shots....so she was NOT having it. Stephaney was not the initial dental assistant, but swooped in to intervene. She worked her baby magic and got Isabella to relax as she educated us with a baby dental hygiene book (in which Isabella loves books/being read to). We were able to finish out Isabella's appointment on a positive note.

They have always been really nice and helpful. My son knocked his front tooth out and Dr. Wasson was able to build him a perfect temporary tooth until we can get him a porcelain crown. She is very skilled and I am very grateful I have recently switched daughter to Dr. Bhats office and she loves it. She had a cleaning and sealant done today and Uniqua did a great job. She was very nice, gentle, and explained everything she did so my daughter wouldn't be anxious. And as ALWAYS Dr. Wasson did a great job. Thank you!!

My son is 10 and on the autism spectrum. The dentist is a VERY scary place for him. He's been hard to calm most appointments. Their dental assistant Stephany, however has changed that for us. She is the most kind, patient, and gentle assistant who has ever worked with him. She made him at ease and did everything she could to make sure he wasn't overloaded sensorially. It was the best appointment ever. I would highly recommend that if you have a child who has special needs or is very anxious at the dentist to request her to work with your child. She's great and I can't say enough about her. My other two children go here as well and they love it, too! We've been with Bhat and Associates since my kids were little and they are 14, 10, and 10. Best pediatric dentist ever! Update: he's 13, still loving Stephanie! He won't go to anyone else. He even kisses her hand.

My daughter recently had to have 2 crowns placed and she has a high level of anxiety. The first procedure went well as she was not aware of what happens. At her second appointment she would not allow Dr. Wist to complete the work. We had to reschedule and as we were rescheduling Stephaney (dental hygienist) said she would assist as she has training with children that experience anxiety during dental procedures. Before the 3rd appointment I called to discuss my daughter's reluctance with getting the crown placed and discussed this with Stephaney. She assured me that the procedure would be done.The 3rd appointment went a lot better than the 2nd. Stephaney did an excellent job of keeping my daughter's attention occupied while the work was completed. She has tons of patience! She is a God send and if your child experiences anxiety I would recommend scheduling with her.

My daughter has been coming here for about 3 years now and the staff is amazing. Stephaney Hygen really sticks out because she goes above and beyond the general needs of the child. My daughter was extremely nervous about a procedure that was about to happen and Stephaney handled her with so much love and care, I felt as if she were my sister (daughters aunt). The attention to her needs and meeting my daughter at her level is a service you cannot find just anywhere. Believe me. It was the most comforting thing I have ever witnessed. We will come here until she ages out and I hope we see Stephaney at each visit. She is a pure GEM and this office is lucky to have her :)

Highly recommend! Stephaney provided exceptional service! She & Dentist that helped my son were both very good in helping my son remain calm during the entire visit. I've been very nervous about taking my kiddo to the dentist during pandemic. Stephaney has a special calling & she's terrific with nervous kiddos (and parents).

Just a great place in my opinion. Dr. Bhat is amazing. She is friendly and very informative when it comes to dental care. The staff members seem warm and friendly, especially Ms. Stephaney, the Dental Hygienist. She's done my daughters cleaning and always so friendly. My girls love going to see her. I really appreciate how Stephaney takes her time to explain everything and put my kids at ease. She always praises them for a job well done and provide kid appropriate information on how to take care of their teeth. During our visit I feel very relax trying to juggle two children during their appointment. Thank you Stephaney and other staff for all you do. We actually enjoy coming to the dentist!

I have been coming here for a few years with both my children. I love the staff. They are great with both my kids and they keep on schedule. They always have us in and out real fast even when doing X-Rays. They have a clean, well maintained office, and great location with lots of parking. The "prize" that they give the kids at the end of the appointment is also a plus because it gets my kids excited and keeps them well-behaved by earning "bucks" to collect prizes in the end. Great kids dentist!

The Doctors and staff are so caring with their patients and financial concerns at this office I am beyond happy to give them 5 star's. The office is so kid friendly, and have a great team starting with Office manager, and dental assistants Stephany. Dr Tu is one of the best Pediatric Dentist she is amazing with our kids and takes her time explaining to the parents with questions and concerns. They will work with you on a treatment plan. They have a great team and I can't say enough about them. If you don't have a dentist or aren't happy with yours, check them out

The doctors and staff are friendly and diligent. Their welcoming manner puts kids at ease when in the chair for cleanings. The staff, particularly Stephaney Hygen, is always engaged with kids and does great to form personal bonds with clients. Stephaney is top-notch and always on her A-game!
