You might say that Dr. Hazen Gilliland was born to be a dentist. Her father, Dr. Ray, is a successful prosthodontist, loved by his many patients. So it was no surprise when she graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry and earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2006. Today, shes an active member of the Florida Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), and a fellow of the Academy of GP Orthodontics. When she is not going above and beyond learning about the best treatments for her patients, Dr. Hazen Gilliland also enjoys traveling, running and spending time with her husband, children, and their two standard poodles.
One of the most fullling aspects of Dr. Hazen Gillilands career is empowering her patients through education on the care and treatment of their teeth and gums. Promoting optimal dental health in a fun, comfortable atmosphere is why she smiles.
Dr. Raska earned his dental degree and completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, IL. He also fulfilled a Fellowship in Implant Dentistry from Southern Illinois University.
Dr. Raska completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. To further his studies, Dr. Raska accomplished an extensive Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with an emphasis in trauma, reconstruction and cosmetic surgery at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.
Dr. Raska is board certied (Diplomate) through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is licensed in Florida, Missouri, and Illinois in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

My Tooth Implant performed by Dr Gary Raska was a good experience. Dr Raska and Office was professional, technically proficient , and knowledgeable during my procedure. He answered my questions well and followed up post procedure to make sure the implant cap was completed well. I would recommend him . HES

While it seemed to take a long time and several visits the experience and quality of the work has been first class. The doctor and office were prompt and reliable. Not inexpensive by any means but worth it.

Dr. Gary did my procedure bayonet point I fractured my jaw in two places. He wired my Jaw shut and told me I would be in this condition for six weeks. After the procedure was done we tried to follow up with him at his office in sarasota, But was declined The option to even see him by his staff. Fast forward a week and I found not one but two oral surgeons to follow up with they saw my mouth took x-rays, and basically told me this man took a very archaic route to fixing my problem. Instead of having my jaw wired shut bars and rubber bands would've served just fine. Also I was told the placement of one of the plates he put in my jaw was not optimal. Basically after a week and the follow up appointment with the two separate oral surgeons all the gear and Wires he put in my mouth were taken out. On top of all of this the two oral surgeons I saw today said I was not the first person this week to have something done by him be refused to be seen by him and have shotty work done that they had seen and been forced to fix.
