Dr. Gary Kramer has always had a passion to work with the pediatric and special healthcare needs population. His undergraduate studiesin honors psychology at Emory Universityprovidedhim with insight and understanding in caring for pediatric, adolescent, and special needs patients. He also participated in a study abroad program in child and special needs psychologyin Londonbefore dental school.

ADiplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Kramer is devoted to continuing education. He knows this is the best way to ensure his patients receive the highest quality of care, through leading-edge technology and techniques.

Each year, Dr. Kramer attends the annual American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry meeting, and regularly participates in the Northern Virginia Dental Society lecture series. He is also involved with the Academy of Straight Wire and Functional Orthodontics, astudy group that keeps him current on advances in the field.

Dr. Kramer is a native of Chevy Chase. He and his wifeLidahave lived in Fairfaxfor more than 30 years. The couple has been blessed with three daughters: Dr. Sara Bunin, who practices pediatric dentistry alongside her father; Bianca, who is an elementary school art teacher in Ashburn; and Renee, who is an attorney in Maryland. They also have grandchildren who are the lights of their lives.

When hes not caring for patients, Dr. Kramer enjoys playing tennis, working out at the gym, traveling, and spending time with his family. Hes an avid fan of Washingtons best:cheering for the Redskins, Wizards, Nationals, Capitals, and DC United.

Dr. Kramer loves living and working locally and is always happy to run into current and former patients. He believes in supporting others, so he sponsors local youth baseball and travel soccer teams, as well as many local elementary, middle, and high school fundraisers and events.

To help his community get and stay healthy, Dr. Kramer and his team host many tooth talks at schools, which teachchildren and adolescents about the importance of oral hygiene and how to develop healthy habits. Visit

I am passionate about pediatric dentistry, something that Ive become even more excited about after becoming a mother myself. I strive to help each patient develop a strong foundation of healthy habits, good nutrition, and great oral hygiene at an early age: When a child is enthusiastic about caring for their smile, they like going to the dentist!

Ive always known that every patient has a unique story and distinct needs, and as I see those things in my own children, it has become even more apparent. I love learning what each patient requires, adapting and focusing on just them and their family with private, personalized attention. Dr. Sara Bunin chose to follow in her fathers education footsteps, because she knewthe knowledge and experience he gained ensured the best care for his patients. She attended Emory University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and studied child psychology abroad. Her Doctorate of Dental Surgery was earned at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Dr. Bunin served as chief resident during her pediatric dental residency at Northwestern Childrens Memorial Hospital, in Chicago.

Dr. Bunins commitment to continual learning is reflected in her being a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Through conferences, seminars, and lectures, including the annual American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry meeting, Dr. Bunin stays current on advances in the field. She also completes numerous courses through the Northern Virginia Dental Society, in which sheinteractswith and learnsfrom other oral healthcare practitioners.

Having lived her whole life in Fairfax, Dr. Bunin is honored to serve her hometown community now. She met her husband Kevin, whos a general dentist, at dental school. Dr. Bunin says she flashed him her trademark Kramer Smile and thats all it took! They share their life with two beautiful children who bring so much joy to their days.

Dr. Bunin is at her happiest when shes talking with others about dental health. She enjoys speaking with various local parenting groups:teaching parents how to help their children develop and keep healthy smiles. Dr. Aymach (pronounced I-Mac!) is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He completed his dental education followed by graduate residency training in orthodontics in 2005. He enjoys learning and therefore continued his education to pursue training in oral surgery and a PhD degree in orthognathic surgery (jaw surgery) from Tohoku University in Japan after having won a distinguished scholarship by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology. In addition, he attended the University of Connecticut and Howard University before he was granted board certification in orthodontics. Dr. Aymach has published his research in multiple national and international orthodontic journals which were also presented in scientific meetings in the United States, Australia, Belgium, Japan, China, and Taiwan.

I am so grateful to have a career that allows me to do what I love: working with my hands, meeting new people, making others smile, and positively affecting others around me. I enjoy meeting my patients for the first time and hearing their story about why they sought us out for care. The mere fact that I am able to build a personal relationship with each one of my patients makes it worth it in every way! During hygiene visits, Shabnam examines her patients mouth for signs of oral disease and cavities. Friendly, engaging, and calm, Thao enjoys keeping patients smiling during teeth cleanings! She loves hearing whats happening in patients lives and learning whats important to them. Working one-on-one with patients, she assesses dental health, looks for signs of disease and cavities, and provides gentle cleanings. A lot of her time is spent teaching children and parents about oral health and how to keep a healthy and beautiful smile. Thao loves the friendships shes built with patients and families.

Brittany excels at making patients feel at home. Shes friendly, warm, and calm, and a reassuring presence for ourmore anxious patients. Chrissi loves connecting with our patients, and talking with them about school, their weekend plans, and whats happening in their lives. Outside the office, Christine loves time with her family. She and her husband love playing trains and reading books with their son. They also enjoy going to the beach, weekend trips, and cheering for the Redskins.

Danielle loves helping patients during their visits. She has a welcoming and friendly smile, which reassures nervous patients and sets them at ease. Working in our clinic, Danielle supports Dr. Kramer and Dr. Bunin during various procedures. While shes assisting the doctor, shes always focused on the patients comfort. She is a great champion for our patients smiles!

Deborahs warm, calm smile ensures patients feel welcome and safe. She enjoys learning about patients lives, activities, and adventures. Working in our treatment area, she prepares the rooms, seats patients, and makes sure everyone is comfortable. Then, sitting chairside, Deborah assists Dr. Kramer and Dr. Bunin while reassuring patients about how well theyre doing. We are thrilled about how quickly shes connected with our patients.

Friendly and warm, Mary makes sure patients and parents know theyre in excellent hands. Youll meet her in the treatment area, where she assists the doctors during dental procedures. Sitting chairside, she hands them instruments while focusing on our patients comfort. Mary loves working with doctors and teammates in a family-friendly environment, where our patients are cared for like family!

In addition to working here, Marys currently in college. Her time off is spent with her family and friends, and occasionally binge-watching Netflix. Shes relatively new to NOVA and enjoys exploring DC, Georgetown, and surrounding areas.

Friendly and helpful, Laurelle enjoys welcoming patients and parents, checking them in, and catching up on their lives.
