Being a dentist means having the ability to get someone out of dental pain. Its also the ability to correct how a persons mouth functions, improving or restoring their bite and ability to comfortably chew. And its the ability to make a smile beautiful, transforming how a person feels about themselves, too.
In the years Ive been practicing, Ive had the opportunity to meet and care for many remarkable people. Our conversations and the friendships that have grown between us are the most rewarding aspect of dentistry. I spend my days helping my friends improve their lives through the care I provide. What could be better?
My Doctorate of Dental Surgery was awarded by the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. While my formal schooling provided an excellent foundational knowledge of dentistry, dentistry is a constantly changing field. Continuing education is essential if I am to provide patients with the best treatment, using the most current techniques and technology.
I have studied many areas of dentistry, including cosmetic, dental implants, oral surgery, facial pain prevention, and oral health, as well as infection control and sterilization. I prefer hands-on training with the most respected clinicians in these fields.

Dr Gary Lewis has been my dentist since I arrived here in Moundsville from Minnesota in 1979. My teeth are in very good condition, and I give all credit to Dr Lewis for his great care of my teeth.

I've gone to Dr Lewis for years and have always been very satisfied with the care he and his staff give for my dental health. My husband recently went and needless to say was very nervous because of past dental visits with other dentists, but I reassured him he would be well taken care of, and he was. He had to have 2 teeth pulled and said he didn't even feel it. He was very impressed. So THANK YOU Dr. Lewis and your staff for the courteous, great care we receive from you.

I would definitely recommend Dr Lewis to anyone. He did a great job and often asked if I was okay during my procedure. I also didn't have to wait long in the waiting room. Staff was friendly !

Dr. Lewis is a phenomenal dentist. When I first met him it was obvious that I was going to be a dental challenge. After another local dentist made a mess of my mouth, I was reluctant to put my trust in any dentist. However, he and his staff made me feel comfortable and confident that I had chosen the perfect dentist for me. If you want a dentist who knows what they are doing, a relaxing atmosphere and a staff that will treat you like family. Then Dr. Lewis is the dentist for you!
