A hygienist typically completes four years of intensive college training culminating in certification exams in order to practice as a dental hygienist. There is much more involved than just polishing teeth. A hygienist is concerned about the health of not just teeth, but also the gums, bone and supporting structures of the teeth. People lose teeth due to periodontal disease more than any other reason.

Hygienists are also trained to be concerned about the over-all health of the patient, and will ask questions accordingly. Our hygienists are highly trained and all have the skill and experience to provide our patients with optimum treatment.

I love Dr. Hurdle! I've been going to her since I was a kid (and im in my 30s now lol) and shes always been very attentive. Even if other hygienists complete my cleaning she always makes a point to also take a look and check that everything looks good. The office also can text you openings if your due for an appt.

straight money heist! I use to go here. I received cleanings & got my braces here. I recently transferred to a better dentist & learned that my insurance was being over charged for the services I received which lead to me always having an out of pocket expense. within 6mnths I had exhausted my insurance & was forced to pay out of pocket for simple cleanings. Glenda acts like she's the owner and can be very rude out of the mouth. The other staff act as though they are scared of Dr. Hurdle. if you can I would suggest going somewhere else. I feel like her core customers are mostly elderly who probably have huge insurance policies that she can max out on. Dr. Hurdle is cool but after reading so many negative reviews about Glenda, I'd suggest she make some changes to save her customer service.

All the staff are very friendly and understanding to your needs. Dr. Hurdle (staff) explains every detail with patience and incredible knowledge. Personally speaking, I feel more at home than in a Dental office.

Front desk lady was so snobby and rude on the phone. Made me not even want to schedule a dental appointment. You are the first person of contact. How do you expect to get patients with that rudeness in your voice. If you don't like your job. Get a new one !!

I visited this practice once to get an extraction, and I am done. Glenda, receptionist, is abrasive and rude. My appointment was at 1:30. I arrived at 1:20 with forms already completed and was not seen until 2:05. Glenda informed me Dr. Hurdle was not at the office and would not return until 2:00. The reason for the delay? Glenda stated she did not anticipate me coming with my forms completed, so she embedded extra time! She apparently did not consider asking whether or not I would print froms from website and bring them already completed. The hygienist, though pleasant, required three tries to take an x-ray of one tooth. Unnecessary radiation exposure. Dr. Hurdle was pleasant but not apologetic about the appointment-scheduling faux pas. She also insisted on taking panoramic x-rays and having me consent to doing 4 special cleaning procedures as a new patient. At that point, I had not decided if she was going to be my provider, so I declined both. I practice great dental hygiene and get twice yearly cleanings, so I didn't need these "extra" (read: more costly) procedures.

Do not go here! This is the worst dentist I have ever been to in my life and I move a lot. I came to Dr. Hurdle due to pain in one tooth. Instead she ignored that and told me I needed to have all of my old fillings redone, including an older crown (which I now realize was just her trying to get as much money out of me and my insurance as possible, 4 dentists later, not one has agreed with her.) At the time, I had no reason to doubt her as she seemed very professional and knowledgeable. I agreed to start with getting two fillings redone as well as my crown. Lo and behold when she completed the work, I realized she didn't even work on the tooth that was giving me pain. Instead, one of the teeth that she did work on started hurting badly. I kept coming back to her but nothing she did helped. I was in pain for a year thanks to her and 2 years later, that same filling broke and I had to have another one put it. After the new dentist put in the new filling, I am pain free. Not only that, but that crown she redid, fell out a week later. I didn't want to go back to her and wanted my money back. Her receptionist Glenda was so nasty on the phone with me and wouldn't let me speak to Dr. Hurdle. She told me I would not get any money back. I had to file a grievance with the fraud department of my insurance and they were able to get their money back so that at least the next dentist would be paid by them as I could not get two crowns in one year otherwise. This woman is a thief. She charged me an outrageous amount of money and tried to extort even more. I was in pain for a year thanks to her horrible dental work. I can't even understand how she is still in business. Do not go to this terrible dentist. Do what I did and just drive to VA because you're not going to find anyone good by Andrews.
