I was referred here to have a tooth pulled and I left the office in tears. I went in and saw the doctor and he was short, rude and wouldn't hardly let me speak to even explain to him what was going on with my tooth. As soon as he came in the room he slammed my chart down and cut me off when I was just trying to say hello to him. Told me I had a weird last name and tried to pronounce it in a mocking way like he was making fun of my name. He explained that he would have to cut my tooth into four pieces to remove it root by root and all I said in response to that was "yes that's how they did it last time when I got my other tooth removed" and he rudely said "who's they" and I told him the doctor I had seen before at BGW (I LOVE BGW and would have never went to this awful place if BGW had appointments on the day I was hurting so bad and wanted my tooth out) and this man went off on me on a tangent saying that the other doctor I saw didn't know what he was doing, he wasn't a real doctor, etc. He was so hateful. I left his office in tears and they still charged me to be seen even tho I was in the room for maybe 10 minutes and came out in tears!! I ended up telling them all that I didn't want him to do my surgery and ended up waiting for when BGW had an appointment available and I'm so glad I did because the doctors and staff at BGW actually treated me like I was a person! BGW pulled my tooth the next morning and I had no issues. This doctor is just an arrogant rude man. Would not recommend him at all!!!! Honestly disgusted that I even paid them after how terrible my experience was. It was a waste of $130!!! I should've trusted the reviews!!!

I have to say I wish I would have read the reviews as well. Yes rude, did not even look at me when came in the room and went into a totally ridiculous rant about how bad my situation is with out even asking me anything about the situation. In hind sight I should have walked out. Maybe he is good a what he does but it is not a welcoming or healing environment. I left feeling abused and ripped off as they way over charged me. Stay away is my suggestion unless he becomes a nicer person I would say he will still keep getting bad reviews. The problem with the Healing Arts these days is people like this that misuse their power over others, it is supposed to be a sacred profession and a calling of the highest order not a place to take out your personal problems on the world.

I was referred to Dr. Simonton by my dentist, who sent his own daughter there and had high regards for Dr. Simonton. Dr. Simonton gets right to the point, explains things well, pulls his chair up to you and takes the time to answer each question. I had TMJ surgery, and he had me watch a video about what the procedure would be like, and then further explained things and answered my questions. His staff was always very kind to me and very helpful with figuring out my insurance. The surgery went great and I have been pain free for 3 months now. I would definitely recommend this office for your surgery needs.

My daughter got her wisdom teeth removed here and it was a horrible experience.Staff was unprofessional and inconsiderate towards her. When she went back they had no respect for her. She was visibly nervous and they did nothing and did not talk to her at all. They didn't tell her anything they were doing even putting an IV in.The doctor spoke only a few words. She was lied to about given oxygen, they informed her it was oxygen but it had a horrible odor. Very unpleased and do not recommend

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Terrible place and terrible staff. I'm so glad I trusted my instincts to not get my wisdom teeth taken out through them. From the get go they were incredibly rude and barely spoke to me at all the entire consultation and when they did they spoke down to me. I went for a tmj problem and they told me that if I wanted to talk about that it would be a 400 dollar charge out of pocket that day. The doctor only saw me for less than two minutes and was extremely rude and made me feel super uncomfortable while he was there. Overall make sure you don't come here nor bring any child here because it could traumatize them.

This man needs to retire and so does his staff. They have the worst bedside manner and attitudes I have ever encountered at a medical type business. My child went there for wisdom teeth removal. At the consultation and the actual procedure Dr simonton yelled at my child for not paying attention to him while he was speaking. Which was not true, they were paying attention. He also yelled at them for shaking their head instead of verbally saying yes. Plus when asking for a work excuse the lady at the front desk would only provide one for one day. I would not recommend this place if you have other options.

Dr. Simonton is such a good doctor. He is very thorough and explains things very precisely and thoughtfully. He listened carefully to me, and I like that he gets to the point and doesn't beat around the bush. He really impressed me and my husband. I have alot of respect for him. I will be coming back to him if and when I ever need him again. Also his staff was so sweet and very business like. Over all a very good visit and nice experience.

Went for consultation to get molar surgically removed. Made appointment for a day at 9:00 am. I live over an hour away. He gave me prescription for Valium and told me to take it one hour prior to procedure. I did that, got to my appointment at 8:50 and it's 10:15 and I'm still sitting here. Valium has worn off. I asked how much longer since my appointment time was 9:00 am and she said doctor didn't even get in until 9:30 and there was someone in front of me. They called me back at 10:20 and told me they knew I was upset and to let the doctor know. This I did and his uncaring, rude response was well sometimes we run behind. Funny how you run behind with your first two patients when you can't get to the office on time. Our time is worth something. I would NOT recommend him.

Paid $400 two years ago here to be told I had no issues, and I'm now finding out that this was incorrect and there's some extensive TMJ-related work that needs to be done. Dr. Simonton was dismissive and apparently didn't know his practice well enough to make a correct diagnosis.

I took my daughter to have her wisdom teeth removed as well as surgical attachment of a bracket to a tooth that wouldn't come down into place after years of waiting. The doctor's attitude was harsh, condescending, and pretty hateful altogether. His staff seemed okay until they started harassing me for an additional $400 prior to the surgery, after telling me 3 days prior that insurance would cover 100%. I refused to pay it and they changed their tune and said they would "try" to get insurance to pay the $400. I confirmed with my insurance company that they would pay it and they said yes, it's covered. Day of the surgery they took her back, and she said no one said a word to her the entire time they were getting her ready for surgery. She was a scared 16 year old girl, and they said NOTHING to comfort her at all. She said it was so strange. What kind of establishment treats their patients this way? Even vets speak to the animals when they're working with them. I mean, come on. I warned them beforehand that we're pretty sure my daughter has the red hair gene, and that she has a really high tolerance to all medications. They acted like I was an imbecile and barely acknowledged that I had spoken. Guess what happened during the surgery -if you guessed she woke up during surgery you'd be half right. She actually woke up during the procedure MULTIPLE times!!! I've seen horror movies with that happening but never imagined they would allow that to happen to my child. When they had me drive around to pick her up she was almost hysterical with tears streaming down her face. She is not a crier at all, either. The nurse said the anesthesia does this to the girls....uhm, no, being awake during surgery does that to them. I was furious!! After thinking about this further, I bet Dr. Sadistic gives the lowest amount of anesthesia to save a little money. There's absolutely no other way that so many people could experience waking up during a procedure like that. Oh yeah, guess what I received in the mail a week later-a bill for $400. I had to call and speak to the billing lady yet again and then do HER job and call the insurance company yet again. The insurance company confirmed they had paid the amount that she was trying to collect, so apparently they were trying to double dip and get paid by me and the insurance company, too. The harassing billing lady would not answer my calls again after I sent her proof of the payment she was trying to collect twice. She sent me a "paid in full" notice in the mail instead of actually admitting she was wrong (or corrupt). Needless to say, I would NOT in good conscience ever recommend this doctor to anyone I care about. There's too many good places out there that will do a great job and won't traumatize your loved ones in the process. This is not your place for any kind of compassionate care. **Full disclosure: my daughter's orthodontist did say that the Dr did a good job on the surgery...at least there's that.

Horrible Horrible experience. I wish i would've listened to these reviews before getting my wisdom teeth out. Dr. Simonton was extremely rude and wouldn't listen to the concerns or questions I had. Made me feel stupid for even trying to ask them. NEVER go here.
