Dr. Sun received his B.D.S. in 1983 from Dental Departmentat Xi'an Jiao-Tu University, and his M.S. in Dental and Biological Materials in 1986 from Shanghai Jiao-Tu University. After his graduation, Dr. Sun taught, led the research andconducted clinical practice at School of Dentistry, Shanghai Jiao-Tu University. In 1991, he moved tothe United Statesfor further study in dentistry.
From 1991 to 1996, Dr. Sun was involved in the research in the fields of dental materials, biomaterials and biology of the mineralized tissues at School of Dentistry, the University of Michigan,and had several publications on the journals of those fields.
Dr. Sun received his M.S. in Dental Materials in 1996 and D.D.S. in 1999 from the University of Michigan. He joined the Division of Prothodontics on July 15, 1999. He taught Prosthodontics as a clinical adjunct assistant professorat School of Dentistry, the University of Michigan from 1999 to 2003.
During the sameperiod, Dr. Sun received multiple awards for hisoutstanding work, including the First Place in the Procter & Gamble Ohio Valley Region Dental Research Competition, the Floyd A Peyton for Dental Materials, and the Francis B. Vedder Society of Crown and Bridge Prosthedontics.
Dr.Wu received her B.D.S. in 1984 from Dental Department at Xi'an Jiao-Tu University, and her M.S. in Dental and Biological Materials in 1987 from Shanghai Jiao-Tu University. After her graduation, Dr. Wu focused on the research and teaching job of Dentistry at the School of Dentistry, Shanghai Jiao-Tu University.
Between 1992 and 1996, Dr Wu was involved in the Biochemistry research at the School of Medicine intheUniversity of Michigan. Her research work was published on the Journal of Biological Chemistryin 1996.
Dr. Wang received her D.D.S. in 1999 from the dental department at Xi-an Jiaotong University in Chinaand her M.S. from the Department of Operative Dentistry at Fourth Military Medical University in China. She also received her P.H.D. at this Universityin 2010.
She spent 6 years as a teaching assistant and 1 year as a lecturer at the Fourth Military Medical University in China. In 2008 she was a visiting scholar in the Department of Biologial and Materials Sciences at the School of Dentistry at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Chan is a full time clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at theUniversity of Michigan School of Dentistry. He has been an active professor theresince 2008. He received specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Surgery at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He is a Diplomate for theAmerican Board of Periodontolgy and an active member in the Academy of Osseointegration.
He has over 10 years experience in periodontal treatment including minimally invasive gum surgery, periodontal regenerative surgery, Esthetic gum surgery, root coverage, Advanced imaging diagnosis and guided implant surgery, Bone augmentation, ridge reconstruction for implant surgery and sinus augmentation for implant surgery.
Dr. Li obtained her DMD degree at the University of Connecticut, graduating with honors and awards such as induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society for her outstanding academic achievement and patient care. Prior to dental school, she also pursued a Ph.D degree in Developmental Biology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Dr. Li completed her orthodontic specialty training at the University of North Carolina, and received many awards during residency, most notably the Charley Schultz Resident Scholar Award in Basic Science from the American Association of Orthodontics. Dr. Li is an American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) board certified orthodontist.
Dr. Li has relocated to Michigan in 2019 in order to be close to family and close friends. Besides private practice, she is also an adjunct faculty at the University of Michigan where she teaches the residents for clinical cares.
