Dr. Frank Sparacino has been providing optimal periodontal care to patients in the Charleston area since 2004. Upon earning his undergraduate dental degree at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Dr. Sparacino studied Periodontics at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), South Carolina Dental Association (SCDA), American Academy of Periodontology, Charleston Dental Society, and Coastal Dental Study Club.
Dr. Sparacino and his wife, Gretchen, are the proud parents of a daughter, Tessa, and two sons, Joey and Leo. They share their home with a dog, cat, rabbit and turtle. Besides treating his patients and spending time with his family, Dr. Sparacino enjoys playing an occasional game of golf.
Dr. Michael Cuenin joined Sparacino Periodontics in 2014. He has been practicing Periodontics since 1988. He is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He served as an Army Dental Officer for 30 years; retiring with the rank of Colonel. He trained in the US Army and Medical College of Georgia in Periodontics and is a graduate of the General Dentistry (AGD) Residency at Fort Riley, Kansas, as well.
Dr. Cuenin was awarded Diplomate status in Periodontics in 1993. Dr. Cuenin also teaches part-time at MUSC, (James B. Edwards School of Dental Medicine). He serves as the Clinical Director at the East Cooper Community Outreach Dental Clinic in Mount Pleasant where he works with students, residents and over 40 volunteers from the Charleston area to provide dental care to the underserved. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontics, the International College of Dentists, the South Carolina Dental Association, the South Carolina Society of Periodontists and the Southern Academy of Periodontics.
Dr. Cuenin enjoys the challenges of private practice and looks forward to his days with Dr. Sparacino. In his leisure time he and his wife, Denise, enjoy spending time with family enjoying the beautiful Low Country

We drove from Myrtle Beach for extraction and Dental implants because our Dental practice in Columbia recommended them. Over 15 years, we have had problems with more than three Dental practices not properly submitting Dental claims. A good office staff is so critical. I have been very pleased with how they have handled the insurance claims. Also since I am retired Military, one of their part time Periodontists is a retired Army Colonel(Dental Officer)

Dr Cuenin explains everything in advance so you know what to expect. He is gentle and very experienced. The staff are personable and efficient as well! Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend!

Highly Proficient Peridontist. I'm 74, have been a patient for 12 years. Teeth were in sad shape, needed much periodontal work and thanks to the excellent advice and procedures,, I've managed to keep my bottoms, but ended up loosing my final users this Feb. Dr Sparacino is the right man to see, especially for an elderly patient.
