Dr. Felines H. Tipton finished her undergraduate studies at University of California Irvine and attended the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry. After graduating from UCSF in 1996, she practiced in Huntington Beach, CA and at the Susanville Indian Rancheria Dental Center.
Dr. Tipton came to Humboldt County in 1999 and started her own practice. She gives back with community outreach and periodic dental missions to the Philippines (see photos). Our patients tell us Dr. Tipton has a soft touch it really is Dentistry with Love.
As you come in for your visit you will be greeted by our friendly front office team members. They can answer any questions you may have regarding your dental, financial, insurance, billing and scheduling needs. You may also see them at times assisting Dr. Tipton to keep the office running smoothly.
Youll meet Dr. Tipton with our Registered Dental Assistants working alongside her on a regular basis. Our Assistants play a vital role in your care. They are by your side during all dental treatments, helping you feel safe and comfortable. Dr. Tipton relies on theirexcellent skills to assist her in offering you the best care possible.
For your periodontal needs, our Registered Dental Hygienist has more than 25 years of experience and it shows in her gentle touch and thorough cleaning. She offers up-to-date knowledge on the latest dental hygiene technology and education. Her insightful way of educating you on your dental hygiene needs will make you feel good about the part you play in your dental care and encouraged to do the best you can.
December 2014 In December 2014, Dr. Tipton and her assistant visited the Betty Kwan Chinn Center in Eureka. They did free dental screenings for the children, told them about oral hygiene and its importance, and gave each child a new dental kit with toothbrush, toothpaste and floss.
March 2012 In March 2012, Dr. Tipton visited the Dominican Republic, on a dental mission to provide dental implants. The group of dentists, led by Dr. Arun Garg, spent three days in Santiago, DR, at a local hospital. The doctors worked until all the patients in the waiting room were seen. Some pictures show: Dr. Garg shaking the countrys presidents hand, and Dr. Garg and another team member being interviewed at a local TV station.
2008 In 2008, Dr. Tipton visited the Philippines on a dental mission.Here you see her pictured with professional associates and patients, in Ilocos Sur at Narvacan and Candon, and in Taysan, Batangas. The purpose of these missions is to provide free, basic dental care to those who cannot afford it.Although it is difficult to work without the modern dental equipment and supplies available in the US, Dr. Tipton plans to return as often as possible in order to help those in need in her native land.
