Dr. Devine grew up in Rhode Island and moved to Boston for college at Northeastern University. After earning a degree in biology, he attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. At Tufts, he worked on research projects related to the connection between dental and systemic health.

After graduating from Tufts, he went through advanced residency training in general dentistry at St. Josephs Health Center in Providence, RI where he gained a broad range of experience in the all aspects of general dentistry. Dr. Devine joined Norton Family Dentistry in July of 2018, and is excited to help his patients with their dental needs in a compassionate and gentle manner.

Dr. Aaron Shin was born and raised in Lodi, California where he cared for farm animals such as sheep, turkey, chickens and goats on a vineyard ranch. With his love for animals, he completed his undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley majoring in Integrative Biology before pursuing dentistry at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. A self-proclaimed coffee addict, you may see him at local cafs sipping coffee while eagerly reading online journals and papers about the latest research and updates in dental medicine as he is a committed to advanced and continuing education.

Dr. Shin first became interested in dentistry while volunteering at the Berkeley Food and Housing project in Berkeley, California where he became introduced to free clinic programs. The free clinic included a variety of health programs including dentistry. Dr. Shin continues to dedicate his time at various volunteer programs today.

As a dentist, Dr. Shin is passionate about providing excellent dental care in the form of empowerment by helping people understand that they have complete control of their situations. My job as a dentist is not about just fixing teeth, its about helping people understand what is going on and how its happening so that together we can make the best decision on what to do. I understand that even coming to the dental clinic may not be easy for some and so my goal is to help relieve any fears people may have about dentistry through patient education.

Dr. Shins hobbies outside of dentistry includes making pasta from scratch, going on road trips, and watching YouTube videos of boxer puppies. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends, biking, and wants to learn how to fish.

Melinda enjoys interacting with her patients and getting to know them while helping them maintain a healthy smile. She strives to ensure her patients always feel 100% informed and comfortable during their visit.
