Dr. Valltos is most passionate about helping her patients improve their smiles and improve their health. Through strong patient education, Dr. Valltos believes she empowers her patients to help themselves. Her professional knowledge and skills, coupled with patience, kindness, caring, and a gentle touch lets her patients know that they can trust and count on her to address their needs. Dr. Valltos does not view dentistry as the practice of treating teeth, but rather treating people as a whole.

Dr. Valltos discovered her love for the dental profession as a young adult while working in her uncles dental office during summer breaks and throughout college. Each summer, she would see familiar faces and enjoyed getting to know patients and their families, while at the same time making a difference in peoples health. Those experiences were so rewarding that Dr. Valltos decided dentistry was right for her.

The opportunity to help people is something that enriches Dr. Valltos life on a daily basis. She appreciates how enriched her life has been and continues to be by each patient relationship. She places immeasurable value on what patients teach her every day.

Dr. Valltos attended James Madison University for her undergraduate degree and continued on to the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, the worlds first dental school, established in 1840, where she earned her dental degree.

Dr. Valltos participates in many hours of continuing education courses throughout the year. As dentistry is an extremely dynamic profession where patient needs and the technology are constantly evolving, Dr. Valltos understands the importance of participating in a variety of courses and seminars in order to meet these ever-changing needs. Aesthetic dentistry, dental implants, advances in dental materials and technology, pain management, and endodontics are just a few of the topics studied.

Dr. Valltos was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in Herndon, VA, where she now lives with her husband, Dr. Sapperstein. They have been married for 20 years and have three children, Allison, Benjamin, and Caroline. To complete their house, they have two Tonkinese cats named Peggy and Roxie.Dr. Valltos enjoys staying active by running and hiking, as well as curling up with a good book.

Dr. Valltos and Dr. Sapperstein are both passionate about family. They spend most of their free time surrounded by siblings, cousins, parents, aunts, and uncles. They are both fortunate to have family that live close by and gather together on a weekly basis.

As her family is important in her life, so is her community. Dr. Valltos has regularly given dental health talks at her childrens elementary school and preschool. She is also a coach for the Girls on the Run program, promoting the physical and emotional health of girls third through fifth grade.

Dr. Evan Sapperstein is dedicated to helping his patients, especially those who have avoided seeking treatment due to fear, anxiety, and even shame. Dr. Sapperstein takes pride in educating patients about their oral health without judgment or discouragement. He enjoys making his patients feel at ease and confident about their treatment decisions. Dr. Sappersteins ultimate goal is to create a relationship that patients can rely upon and trust.

Dr. Sapperstein discovered his love for the dental profession as a young adult while working for his uncle who also happens to be a dentist. The compassion his uncle showed patients was rewarded in spades. This positive experience convinced Dr. Sapperstein that dentistry was right for him.

Dr. Sapperstein enjoys getting to know patients and their families, as the dental profession provides a unique setting where he is able to develop long term relationships with many different people of all ages and backgrounds. When these patients share their life experiences, it actually enriches his life as well.

Dr. Sapperstein completed his undergraduate education at the University of Maryland, College Park before earning his dental degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, the worlds first dental school established in 1840. He then elected to further his education by completing an optional and highly competitiveone year General Practice Residency at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Hospital.

Since graduating, Dr. Sapperstein has continued his education in the ever-changing field of dentistry. The innovations and technology studied give him a greater understanding of multi-disciplinary care and allow him to meet his patients diverse needs in the areas of aesthetic dentistry, dental implants, advances in dental materials and technology, pain management, and endodontics.

Dr. Sapperstein was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and now resides in Herndon with his wife, Dr. Valltos. They have been married for 20 years and have three children, Allison, Benjamin, and Caroline, To complete their household, they have two Tonkinese cats named Peggy and Roxie.

In his free time, Dr. Sapperstein enjoys science fiction, reading, cheering on the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles, and volunteering with hisdaughter'sScout troup. Dr. Sapperstein and Dr. Valltos are both passionate about family and feel very fortunate to have so many of their siblings, cousins, parents, aunts, and uncles living close by.

I work alongside our doctors, assisting them with direct patient care. My patients comfort is my top priority because I truly want them to have a good experience here. I care very much about their happiness, dental health, and overall wellness. I have three wonderful children and when Im not in the office, I can often be found cooking, listening to music, or enjoying family time.

I have worked in the dental field for about 25 years with experience in orthodontics, pediatrics and general dentistry. Here at Arlington Dental Associates, I provide our patients with regular cleanings, periodontal care, and patient education, which I believe is the most important. Giving my patients the tools they need to care for their teeth at home is a vital aspect of my job. I love being a part of this practice because we make people feel comfortable while at the same time remain professional and deliver outstanding dental care. I have been married to my husband, Pete, for 15 years. We have two small children, Sean and William. When I am not working I enjoy outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.

I was introduced to the dental field during high school and worked as a dental assistant. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010 with a bachelors degree in dental hygiene and joined the great team here at Arlington Dental Associates. I provide patients with routine dental cleanings, periodontal therapies, oral cancer screening, radiographs, and oral hygiene instructions, all to ensure they leave our office with the best possible dental health. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing a patient follow through on their home care and improve their oral health. My husband Dinh and I are newly weds. We love to travel and see the world. In my spare time, I enjoy arranging flowers, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

I graduated from dental hygiene school at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia in 2010 with clinical experience in a wide variety of diverse populations, and came away with a deep rooted desire to give back to the deserving community. None are more deserving that our wonderful patients here at Arlington Dental Associates! As a hygienist, it is my goal to arm patients with comprehensive knowledge they need to maintain good oral health while creating a respectful and sensitive environment. At home, I have a rescued two retired racing greyhounds named Gable and Liana . I enjoy spending my free time eating good food, playing video games, and flexing my creative muscles.

I became interested in the dental field in high school with the results of a career placement test that recommended I pursue a career in dental hygiene. Trusting the results (so happy I did), I earned an Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Bergen Community College, Paramus NJ. With a consistent drive to deliver evidenced-based, patient-focused care, I expanded my education with Bachelor and Masters of Science degrees in Dental Hygiene from the University of Maryland and Old Dominion University, respectively.

Here at Arlington Dental Associates, I am passionate about leveraging my educational background and over 30-years of clinical hygiene experience to provide my clients with the highest level of dental care. My approach to every dental visit is to be gentle yet thorough.
