General and sedation dentist Dr. Eunice Kim has a reputation for pursuing perfection and excellence in dentistry. Her personable nature and sympathy for the needs of each patient, along with her experience in oral conscious sedation for patients with anxiety, make her a sought-after dental professional. After graduating from the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Kim pursued her General Practice Residency at the University of Washington Medical Center where she received training in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and sedation dentistry. She was also educated in treating medically compromised patients. Her training in numerous areas of dentistry allows her to treat a wide variety of patients, including veterans, adults, children, and medically compromised patients. In connection with Dr. Kims commitment to stay informed on the latest dental advancements, she is currently involved with a post doctorate institute that advances dentistry through excellence. She is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. Dr. Kim is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support and takes pleasure in helping each patient with their needs.
Dr. Kim received her Bachelors Degree in chemistry from University California at Riverside, where she met her husband in 2001. They were married in 2008 and moved to Washington State. They now reside happily in Mt Vernon WA with their Shih Tzu Pucca, where they enjoy opportunities for hiking and the laid-back ambiance of the area. Outside of the office, Dr. Kim participates in a wide variety of hobbies including snowboarding, skiing, ice-skating, biking, charcoal portrait drawings, puzzles, traveling, singing, crafts and origami, and beads art. She is fluent in Korean and English.
With over 33 years of experience, Mike works as our registered dental hygienist. He graduated from Shoreline Community College and Washington State University, and prides himself on his extensive continuing education. In the last two years Mike has attended over 22 continuing education classes, including classes on anesthesia, periodontics, tooth whitening, oral health, and effective patient communicationto name a few. Mike says that the highlight of his career as a hygienist is the relationships that he forms with his patients. He enjoys the rewarding feeling of partnering with patients to help them achieve and maintain oral health. Outside the office, Mike likes to explore the Pacific Northwest with his wife in their truck camper. He enjoys hiking, biking, sailing, scuba diving and playing acoustic guitar. He has been happily married to his wife Maureen for 32 years and has four children who are grown.
