Growing up with both his dentist parents, Dr. Emad W. Estafanous received his dental degree from Tanta University, Egypt, in 1999 he then started his residency in Advanced Education in general dentistry in Tanta University were he was honored to spend a good residency time at the national cancer institute (NCI) of Cairo university as well as the faculty of dentistry in Cairo University, department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and Radiology where he earn his certificate in 2000.

In 2004 Dr Estafanous received his postgraduate training and certificate and his Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) in fixed and removable prosthodontics from Indiana University School of Dentistry, Dr. Estafanous was an associate instructor in the department of prostodontics at the same university until 2005.

In 2005 Dr. Estafanous pursued his fellowship training in Maxillo-facial prosthetics at The University of Chicago Hospitals earning his fellowship certificate in 2006., Shortly after Dr. Estafanous joined The University of Iowa, College of Dentistry, Department of Prosthodontics as an assistant professor where he was the Director of the Removable Partial Denture courses.

During his professorship at The University of Iowa Dr. Estafanous was involved in research teaching and lecturing fixed and removable prosthodontics for dental students and graduate prosthodontics. He also kept an intramural private practice that focused on esthetic implant dentistry, fixed, removable and maxillofacial prosthetics.

Dr. Estafanouss research focused on : Immediate loading of dental implants, the physical properties of impression materials and disinfection/microbiology steriolithopgraphy and rapid prototyping, the physical propertes of Titanium alloys/ Zirconia CAD/CAM Technologies Maxillofacial prosthetics. Dr Estafanous had directed and co- directed Continuing Education live and hands-on courses at the university of Iowa, and presented nationally and internationally about prosthodontics and in particular the immediate loading of dental implants Cosmetic Dentistry and full mouth reconstructions.
