Each day, we are honored to carry out the legacy of Dr. J. Robert Smith as we meet the children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors of patients he has cared for over his remarkable forty-eight year career.
A native of Columbus, Georgia, Dr. John Sigman graduated from Brookstone High School in 1991. Following high school, he attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1995. Dr. Sigman received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, Georgia in 1999. He joined Dr. J. Robert Smith in private practice in Columbus following dental school. Dr. Sigman later acquired the practice in partnership with Dr. Ed Fernandez, Jr. in 2000 where they continue to practice comprehensive family and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Sigman is a past recipient of the Ledger Enquirer's Readers' Choice Award.
Since 2008 Dr. Sigman has been a supervising clinical dentist for the Columbus Technical College Dental Hygiene program. In addition to serving his practice in Columbus, in 2011 he became a contract dentist practicing monthly with Drs. Dwight and Scott McLaurin at Buena Vista Family Dentistry. Also, Dr. Sigman volunteers his time to Mercy Med Dental Clinic.
Dr. Sigman pursues ongoing education and fellowship through professional memberships in the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association. He has served as Treasurer, Vice President, and is currently President (2019-2020) of the Georgia Dental Association's Western District which encompasses Columbus, LaGrange, and Newnan. This past year Dr. Sigman resided on the Board of Trustees and is currently serving on the Communication and Public Relations committee for the Georgia Dental Association.
Dr. Sigman and his wife, Carrie, reside in Columbus, Georgia and are active members of St. Luke United Methodist Church. They have two children, Mary Kimble and George, and a Yorkshire terrier, BB. Dr. Sigman serves as President of Columbus, Georgia's Kappa Alpha Order Alumni Association and is a member of Kappa Alpha Order's Court of Honor for recognition as distinguished alumni. In addition to his many personal and professional activities, Dr. Sigman coaches little league baseball and currently serves on the Board at Peach Little League. Dr. Sigman enjoys shing, canoeing, song writing and playing the guitar. His most recent album, Faucet, can be found on iTunes, Spotify, and most musicapps.
Donna has been with our practice since 2003. She has an AS degree in Dental Hygiene and has been in the dental profession for over 20 years. Donna loves spending time with her grandchildren and fur babies. She enjoys traveling, working in her garden, and watching the Georgia Bulldawgs.

Holly has an AS degree in Dental Hygiene, over 22 years experience in dentistry and has been with our practice since 2001. She and her husband of 20 years, Chris, have three amazing children, Allison, Trevor and Ansley. In her spare time Holly enjoys gardening and golfing, but her favorite place to be is the beach.

Renea has been a Dental Assistant for over 17 years, but her most important role in life is that of caretaker for her parents, returning the gift of love and respect they gave to her. In her spare time, Renea loves to go kayaking and ride in her Jeep. She is an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and enjoys participating in game-day events.
'I really enjoy the cosmetic aspect of dentistry. It is so exciting to observe the transformation that a person experiences when they leave with a new smile. The boost in the patient 's self-confidence is very inspiring, and just reinforces how committed we all are to what we do.'
I love being able to touch our patients' lives in a positive way, we want everyone to feel welcome and appreciated when they come to see us! We also want to enhance their quality of life by supporting them with education and treatments to keep their smile healthy, because our patients are part of our family.
Octivia joined our practice in 2019 after completing her education and certification as a dental assistant. She enjoys traveling and is very family oriented. Octivia's husband is an active duty service member at FortBenning and they love being parents to two wonderful boys. We appreciate their service to ourcountry!

Marlyn has worked in dentistry since 1998 and joined our practice in 2014. She enjoys working with people and seeing how pleased patients are with the results of their dental treatment. Marlyn values family above all and spends as much time with them as possible.

Brandi joined the dental profession in 2007; she joined our team in 2021. She is a mom of 3 and loves going to the beach and cheering for Auburn football. She also applies her talented hands and creative abilities to her own woodworking business.

Prior to becoming a dental hygienist in 1998, Debbie was a dental assistant for 4 years. She joined our practice in 2020 after spending 20 years with her previous dentist. Debbie is a proud mom and grandma with 4 children and 5 grandchildren; she loves spending time building new memories with them, as well as going antiquing.

Sarah began her career in dentistry in 2010, she joined our team in 2021. She is a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant and works hard to help our patients maximize their insurance coverage. Sarah is a huge Buckeye and fall football fan! She and her husband love fishing and spending time together with their boys, and exploring new places.
