Dr. Earl Whetstone was born and raised in the Midwest. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from San Diego State University. He then pursued his dream of becoming a dentist by attending the UCLA School of Dentistry. In order to provide a more comprehensive medical approach, Dr. Earl Whetstone completed a General Practice Residency program at the Veterans Hospital here in Palo Alto. He served as a chief resident until 1997 when he entered private practice at 744 Middlefield Rd., Palo Alto.
Dr. Earl Whetstone continues his pursuit of providing the highest quality of family care available for his patients. He completes hundreds of hours in continuing education, ensuring that he gives the best quality and most advanced techniques to his patients. Dr. Bui was warm, kind and professional. I was previously a patient of Dr. Whetstone and Dr. Bui took over his practice - and boy were we lucky! I had to have a couple of fillings replaced - one of them had popped off and the other was a very old filling. I'm a total weenie around needles and shared with her my concern. She said the fillings were small enough where I didn't need any anesthesia. We could try and if the pain felt unbearable, we could go back and get anesthetized. She had such a light hand, was swift and clean in her craft - and we were done in less than an hour! I'm a super fan now. Thanks Dr. Bui!!!

Dr. Bui and Maria could not have been more solicitous and helpful in making my treatment go comfortably and well, and I am very grateful for that. The tooth and the area hurt for two days, but I suppose that was to be expected. And thank you for coming in on a day that is a supposed to be a non-working day for the office. Thank you again.

Anna is an amazing hygienist. She has been caring for my crazy mouth for 11 years. Dr. Bui seems to be doing a good job as she navigates her integration with the amazing staff that Dr. Whetstone had in place in his wonderful practice. He is missed but where he needs to be.

I took my 14 year old son for a general cleaning and a tooth extraction. Although I was more nervous than my son, there was absolutely nothing to worry about. Dr. Bui was so great! She made myself as a worried mom, more than comfortable. As for my son, she was informative, calm, collected and worked with confidence and ease. I can't wait to take my 2 younger children to see her. Thanks Dr. Bui and staff!

Dr. Bui was amazing!! I came in as a new patient with a ton of nerves but she was so nice, accommodating and put me at ease right away. I went in for a deep cleaning and was finished quickly with no pain and very little sensitivity after the numbing went away. I highly recommend Dr. Bui and look forward to seeing her and her team for my next visit

Dr. Earl Whetstone provided top quality care along the lines of what I specifically asked for, and then went over the top to make sure he did it with skill and make it the best there is. His assistant Caroline jumps to his calls to provide the best of care and they know how to work together to give me a fast implementation of exactly what was needed for my dentistry. He explains what the problem is and how he crafts his remediation, as if he were a professor teaching his students. He is the best dentist I have used in 50 years of different practitioners. I can''t recommend him more highly.

Love Dr. Whetstone's bedside manners. I dislike going to the Dentist but this is the first time in my life that I don't get stomach knots in the chair. Dr. Whestone is very patient and educational. The staff is awesome. Always pleasant and nice. Highly recommend
