Dr. Sakurai was born in Los Angeles and has remained here throughout his life. He has earned a B.S. degree in Biology from CSULA in 1984, and his D.D.S. degree from UCLA in 1988. He currently resides in Long Beach with his wife Tiffany (also a dentist in private practice in Torrance), son Luke, and his dog, George. Travel is a hobby of Dr. Sakurais, especially to exotic places. In 2002 he went to Africa to fulfill his dream of climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, and yes, he made it to the top! His current passion is Japanese Archery (www.kyudo.com) and he has attained the rank of renshi godan, one of only 16 in the United States. He teaches at the Oh Shin Kan dojo in Fullerton and is the President of the Southern California Kyudo Renmei.

Very professional staff and Dr Sakurai is thorough and straight forward and friendly. Always feel great when I leave knowing I am getting the best dental care possible! I know this because of 35 yrs as a Dental lab owner "retired".

I trust Dr. Sakurai and his team completely which gives me great assurance and dental peace of mind. After moving away from the area, I still commute 2 hours for appointments because I know I'll never find a better dentist!

Dr Sakurai and staff are awesome! I was able to make a 7 am hygiene appointment which worked great with my work schedule! My hygienist was thorough, friendly and informative. Then, Dr. Sakurai came in to go over my cleaning and check for any possible issues. Good news, no cavities! Great team, easy parking and building access. See you in 6 months!

technicality -- Pretty Good he has 3D selec machine with laser scanner can build crown or inlay within 10 minutes or so. bed side manner -- he does not communicate with patient much, more so treat patient like dummy.

This has been the best dental office I have been in since my last dentist retired (we have tried several since to our dissatisfaction). They were thorough, professional, and kind. Also the cleaning was pain-free. Dr. Sakurai was recommended by one of my receptionists, who has brought her family to see him for several decades. He now sees several our our staff members and I will definitely be returning. While they may not be the cheapest, you always get what you pay for. While they did discuss optional services such as whitening and Invisalign, they were educating about the options and not pushy at all, which is much preferred.

I have a tendency of avoiding the dentist. but dr. sakurai and his staff made the experience as painless as possible. don't get me wrong, i still don't like going to the dentist, but visiting dr. sakurai's office has made a horrific experience a tolerable one.

I have been coming to Dr.Sakurai for more than a year and I'm very happy with him, his hygienists, Lori the receptionist is awesome and she's always trying to help you. I really like this place and will recommend to everybody.
