Dr. Douglas Gultz, a highly regarded general, restorative and cosmetic dentist has been in practice in Newark for more than 30 years. His current location, in a private home in the Ironbound section, has been treating the dental needs of the community for more than 18 years. First time meeting Dr Gultz today and what a great guy with a amazing staff. I have not been able to smile my whole life and he promised to help me smile one day. Started out today removing my 2 wisdom teeth and next appointment we will get started. I highly recommend this dentist. I drove 1.5 hrs from Bayville to see him and I would of drove 3hrs. If anyone wants a great smile this is your guy. He's not all about $$$$ like these other dentist out there.

Highly recommended!! I have never been to a dentist who went out of his way to help me the way Dr. Gultz and his staff did for me. They have both an exceptionally talented and professional crew, as well as extremely affordable pricing. I was handled with a professionalism and efficiency that is unfortunately sometimes sorely lacking at other dentists. I got checked and cleaned, a filling, and a crown quickly, easily, and painlessly. They made sure to be extremely kind, patient, and courteous. It's not often that you go to a dentist who you feel actually cares and takes personal interest in your dental hygiene. They truly are as good as it gets. This is a dentist that I'm actually looking forward to coming back to!!

I am a new patient and I am extremely pleased with the work as well as the pleasant staff. I don't live close by but I was referred here by a friend and I was not disappointed. I will be traveling the distance for future appointments. They do quality work and that's what really set them apart for me.

Dr. Gultz is extremely unprofessional and rude. He has ZERO bedside manner. The way he treats his patients is unacceptable. With the over abundance of dentists in NJ there is no need to take your dental care to a practice that has a lead physician with such crude behavior. Save yourself the trouble of being talked down to and go to another practice. I don't know how he keeps his staff either as I've also noticed unacceptable attitudes towards them!

I was just at Dr. Gultz's office yesterday with a broken front tooth. Missing my front tooth looked terrible, however the staff and doctors made impressions, made me a temporary crown and ordered a permanent one for me. Wonderful zero pain service

My partner has been going to this dentist for years and every time we come here we wait hours after appointment time to be seen. I understand that things happen and other clients come in late and that messes thing up but geez. Such a huge waste of time !

Does not deserve even 1 star. Do not go there, they will take hundreds of dollars from you and not solve anything, all they care is your credit card!!!! These guys are playing with peoples' health in order to make a money machine, the government should talk to them or make a surprise visit!

I have been using their services for a few years with no complains until my last visit. I had an appointment which I couldn't make it on time due to work which then I called the front desk to let me them know I was going to be late and IF it was OK to arrive later or rescheduled, which they said it was OK to arrive late. I arrived there about 20 mins later which then I was waiting for about 2 hours until Dr. Gultz came to me to let me know that they could no longer see me because "he decided to put someone else on front of me(I overheard this while I was waiting) due that individuals procedure was something major"(in a sense more expensive, which equals more money for him). He used to care for his patients but that is no longer the case. He doesn't appreciate the time someone has to take off work to make it to his appointments. His dentists are absolutely great but his attitude and unprofessionalism are unacceptable and cannot recommend his services until he changes that. I encourage other people if you are reading this to let others know what kind of service you are getting. Hopefully by the time you read this Dr. Gultz have changed his ways with his customers.

As person who is insanely afraid of needles and discomfort I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Gultz... absolutely NO pain and the staff honestly makes you feel like family..

Such a nice guy and staffs are nice as well.. I only had one visit with him. Sadly my insurance is not in network with him.. I feel like I missed out on a great denstist.. the best in Newark..
