Dr. Kafi grew up in Palos Verdes, CA just outside Los Angeles. She is a Board Certified Endodontist who received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego in Psychology and her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Boston University in 2007. After graduation she continued her training with a certificate of Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the University of the Pacific.
Dr. Kafi has devoted her professional career to all aspects of Endodontics. She achieved the honor of Diplomate status of the American Board of Endodontics a distinction achieved by less than 20% of Endodontist. Additionally, she taught Boston University post-doctoral residents as a clinical faculty member.

My dentist referred me to Dr Kraut, East Side Endodontics, for my first ever Root Canal. As you can probably imagine, I was very nervous about this procedure because of all the horror stories I had heard over the years. The office is beautiful, and the staff was great. Dr. Kraut's assistant helped to settle my nerves by providing an overview of the procedure. Dr Kraut came in and explained the entire procedure in detail. He is WONDERFUL! He takes his time to make sure this is a positive experience with NO PAIN! In fact, this was the ABSOLUTE BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD!!!! (I'm almost 70 and have had many dental procedures over the years!) I never felt the pinch of the needle (novacaine) or any pain during the entire procedure!!! I told him he should teach his method to other dental professionals! Dr Kraut explained everything he was doing - what I should expect to feel, hear, smell, and he even provided a 'countdown' to when the procedure would be completed. I cannot say enough about how comfortable he made me feel. Who would think that a Root Canal could be such a positive experience? I told Dr Kraut the only improvement I could suggest - have a screen on the ceiling so the patient can watch what he is doing while he is explaining it! AND, Best of all, there was no pain or discomfort after the novacaine wore off!!! If you need a Root Canal, I highly recommend Dr Kraut!

Not only is Dr. Kraut wonderful, his staff is too. They are honest, friendly and kind. I feel fortunate to have been a patient.

Dr. Kraut and his team are unbelievably awesome!!! I honestly never feel the need to write a review....but I made sure I posted this one right away! Dr. Kraut is clearly a highly skilled dentist who is SUPER nice and truly makes you feel comfortable during an otherwise uncomfortable procedure!

I've had about 4 or 5 root canals with Dr. Kraut and I wouldn't go anywhere else. He's is very informative, and tells you every step of the way what is going on and how long you have left. Highly recommend!

Great staff & a beautiful office. I was able to get an appointment quickly & once there made me feel calm and at ease. I saw Dr. Kafi and she is amazing! Highly recommend if you are in need of a root canal

Professional, great chair side manner explained root canal every step of the way.. Always asked about pain level during operation and while operation was long, there was little to any pain. Would go back to see him again ! (though hope I don't have to!)
