Dr. Trolley is a native of Rochester, graduating from Pittsford Sutherland High School. After receiving degrees in Chemistry and Pre-Dental from Valparaiso University, Dr. Trolley attended the State University of New York at Buffalo where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree.
As the sixth member of his family to earn a degree in dentistry, Dr. Trolleys unwavering devotion to oral health stems from a deep-rooted family history. Following his residency, Dr. Trolley was fortunate to have the opportunity to work alongside his father, Dr. Richard Trolley. After 15 years together, his father retired and Dr. Douglas Trolley took over what is now Trolley Dental Care.
In addition to his general dentistry practice, Dr. Trolley continues to provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages and works with elderly residents at The Friendly Home in Pittsford, New York.
Dr. Trolley is an active member of the 7th District Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Society, the Monroe County Dental Society, and is President of the Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity. In addition, Dr. Trolley is a member of the Pittsford Rotary Club.

At Trolley Dental Care, we are committed to helping all members of our community receive quality dental care. Once a week we operate a dental operatory at The Friendly Home in Brighton, NY, providing care to the homes residents, as well as those in the nearby Linden Knoll senior apartments.
Using transillumination technology, CariVu is a detection device that helps Dr. Trolley and his team to identify tooth decay early and effectively. By bathing the tooth in safe, near-infrared light, enamel appears transparent while even the smallest problem areas appear dark and easier to see.
Using tissue fluorescence visualization, VELscope Vx Enhanced Oral Assessment System helps the team at Trolley Dental Care spot signs of oral cancer. These screenings are painless, can be completed in about two minutes, and can be performed at the time of your routine oral exam.
An intraoral camera, which may look like an oversized pen, has a camera that takes high-resolution images of your teeth and gums and displays them in real-time on a monitor. This helps Dr. Trolley see more clearly, for a more accurate and precise diagnosis.
OraVerse is the leading local anesthesia reversal agent that allows Dr. Trolleys patients to return to normal sensation more than twice as fast, allowing them to continue with their day and activities without any discomfort.
MTM ClearAligner uses clear, removable aligners to correct slight misalignments (such as crowding or gaps). Each aligner is custom fabricated to progressively advance teeth into their ideal position. On average, MTM ClearAligner is only a fraction of the cost of many other treatments, such as other clear aligners, invisible braces, and traditional full-mouth wire braces.

"Bklyn. Trolley Dodgers" ... Unbelievable dentist, the hands are faster than the eyes. ... They are really very precious. My recent cleaning was painful but as they say no pain no gain . I just wonder when would the treatments stop. During my most recent cleaning with Michelle (the oral hygienist), she had to scrape really hard what is left of my teeth that my ailing heart felt as if it was stabbed over and over again while I kept jumping out of the seat. Upon completing my treatment, I noticed a piece of my tooth to have fallen off before Dr. Trolley examined me.Then, he mentioned that another tooth needed a filling before it turns into another root canal while in pain with the chipped tooth treated with flouride by Michelle. I can't eat anything on it now while needing to call Dr. Trolley's office or possibly his emergency contact number to treat that one before the other one I had scheduled with him for a filling without any benefit coverage but he does work with a flexible payment option while lastly giving me a discount for another tooth I need a filling.

Dr. Trolley and his team are amazing with my daughter. They're so great that she even told Dr. Trolley that her favorite place to go is the dentist I would recommend to anyone, especially someone who is timid about a checkup.

He's cared for visiting relatives, family emergencies, both my husband & me as we age, and now our grandchildren. They love him too. A solo practice of a third generation dentist who has a pocket full of wisdom & experience. You're not just a patient file in this practice. We recommend this dentist highly.
