Dr. Pernoud is a St. Louis native. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Valparaiso University, where he majored in Biology and Chemistry and minored in Theology. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he received numerous prestigious awards and honors, including acceptance to Advanced Studies in Oral Surgery, membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, and highest academic achievement in Xi Psi Phi Dental Fraternity.
Dr. Pernoud also completed a General Practice Residency program at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas. During that time, Dr. Pernoud gained additional knowledge and further developed his surgical skills by studying and performing advanced dental and medical procedures, including methods of sedation, at both the VA Medical Center and the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Most children imagine being a fireman or princess, Tammy spent her days playing dentist. Since an early age, Tammy knew her passion was dentistry and has since turned that passion into a reality. Through the Melville High School work program she began her journey learning orthodontics, then later found the dental field a much better fit. She truly has a genuine interest in her profession and continues to learn up to date methods and practices. Tammy is personable, very detail oriented, has an amazing work ethic and is great with children.
