Dr. Dino S. Javaheri is a well-known recognized leader in the field of dentistry. The Journal of the American Dental Association has referred to him as a master clinician and expert dentist. Another leading dental journal, Dentistry Today, has recognized him for the past 15 years as a leader in continuing education for teaching other practicing dentists how to do advanced dental procedures. Fewer than 100 dentists worldwide have received this honor. He is the course director at UOP dental school of the continuing education courses 'The Art and Science of Cosmetic Dentistry', 'Smile Reconstruction using Porcelain Veneers' and Esthetic Implant Restorations. In addition, Dr. Javaheri is actively involved in teaching cosmetic and implant dentistry to other dentists through dental study clubs and society meetings across the country. He also frequently serves as a volunteer consultant for dental manufacturers to help evaluate and develop new products.
Dr. Javaheri has written numerous articles for leading dental journals including the Journal of the American Dental Association, Dentistry, Practical Procedures and Aesthetic Dentistry, Compendium, Journal of Operative Dentistry, Dentistry Today, and The Journal of Dental Research. His articles have often been featured on the covers of these Journals.
Dr. Javaheri did his undergraduate studies in genetics at U.C. Davis. He attended dental school at Tufts University, graduating in 1993. He then completed a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at UOP Dental School in San Francisco. Fewer than 1% of dentists have completed an advanced residency program such as this. Since then he has maintained a full-time private practice in the Danville area.In addition to his warm, personal approach and meticulous attention to detail, Dr. Javaheri uses the latest technologies and techniques to keep our patients happy and healthy.
Dr. Sara Shahnavaz joined our practice in 2001. She brings a lifelong love of dentistry, a dedication to personalized care, and her gentle touch in providing preventative dentistry, cosmetic and restorative procedures, and treating kids.
'I come from a family of healthcare providers. My father is a physician, my mom was a hospital administrator, two sisters are dentists, one is a dental hygienist, and two are nurses. Taking care of people runs in the family' she says. 'My goal is to help my patients feel as if they were my family and provide them with the same level of care I would do on my own family.' She likes to work with patients of all ages and tailors her treatment to their goals and needs.

I highly recommend Dr. Javaheri if you are in need of dental work. He is a superbly talented dentist with years of experience and loads of wisdom. On my most recent trip he removed a damaged molar crown and replaced it with a new crown two hours later. His state of the art office equipment includes CadCam crown fabrication milling equipment. After precise scanning of the surrounding teeth coordinates and a small tooth site imprint is completed, the data is loaded into the CadCam computer. A new crown is soon milled from a small porcelain block. It was a perfect fit and the most amazing experience to have a new crown installed 2 hours after the old crown was removed. Dr. Javahari administers pain injections without pain..! He is a terrific dentist and has such a friendly staff that you feel like family when they welcome you back.

We were referred to Dr. Javaheri by another dentist when we moved into the area 9 years ago. We are so lucky we followed through with the referral. He is the best dentist my family has ever had. He has seen my boys since they were in middle school and now in college. He is extremely knowledgeable, honest and calm. My husband used to be in Dental sales and is very picky with his dental care. He thinks Dr. Javaheri is top notch and so is his dental and office staff. He has the same staff members since we began seeing him with some additional hygienists to make it very accessible.

I am seeing Dr. Javahari over 10 years. Dr Javaheri is an excellent dentist, I can't say enough good things about him. His staff, services, cleanliness are outstanding. He is very calm and very smart!!!!

This is a very well run practice. We have been customers there for over 12 years. Dr. Javaheri is polite, professional and does excellent work. He is proactive in monitoring and addressing potential dental problems quickly with his patients. He also responds to unexpected dental emergencies with urgency and compassion. Everyone in the office is very polite and treats you with respect. They also quickly adopted new policies and protective measures to ensure safety for both customers and their staff during the pandemic.

I wish I knew Dr. Javaheri years ago. He is a knowledgeable, informative, and a professional dentist. He cares a lot for his patients. In our visit to his office (my wife and I), he first explains the dental issues that we have and gives us choices in how we can address them. He is very kind and sympathetic towards my wife and tries to be attentive to our needs. His staff also follow his leads well.

Dr. Javaheri is the BEST! I have been going to him since I was a kid. He's friendly, consistent, and he does fantastic work. I won't go anywhere else. Maria and the staff are amazing :)

Short version: I went in for a procedure to replace a broken crown; it took three trips to get the crown over one month, I ended up with a new crown with a different color, and I overpaid $120. Extended version: I moved to California, so I asked friends to recommend a good dentist. One of my friends said she is very happy with Dr. Javaheri. I checked the reviews on Google, 5 Stare, and I was convinced. During the first visit, I liked Dr. Javaheri because he was friendly and explained every step. However, in the end, the outcome and my overall experience were not good at all. I had a crown broken. Before going to the office, I called them and provided my insurance information to check whether they accept my insurance. The staff told me everything is fine; they are work with my insurance. However, when they billed me, I noticed they are out of my network. So, I had to pay an extra $120 out of pocket. The office does not have the most up-to-date equipment. To replace my crown, I had to make three visits, and I end up with a crown with a different color from my other teeth. Last year, I did the same procedure in Boston in one sitting because my former dentist used a newer technology that can create the crown in their office. That crown is excellent and indistinguishable from my other teeth. The whole process from the first visit until getting the crown took one month! Since the color was much whiter than my other teeth, Dr. Javaheri offered a whitening kit to address the issue somehow. After six weeks of not hearing from the office, I called the office, and they told me they once sent me a text message two weeks before. I did not receive their text, but I expected when the charged $1200 for a crown poorly done, they can at least give me a call (voice mail) to pick up my kit. Apparently, the staff did not care. I told the staff that I am not happy with the service, the outcome, and the charges; I want them to communicate that with the Dr. Javaheri and I expect to hear from him. I never received a message, a call, or a response to my complaint.
