Dr. DiMento is a native of Syracuse. He received his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts in 1994. He continues to educate himself in the latest advances in dental medicine by attending dental seminars, courses and through his association with the American Dental Association, Fifth District Dental Association, Upper New York State Dental Seminar Group, Onondaga County Dental Society, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is also a faculty member of the St. Josephs Dental Residency Program. He has received advanced training at the renowned Dawson Center for Advanced Dentistry in Occlusion and Temporal Mandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ) and The London Institute for Dental Implant Surgery Fundamentals to Details and Advanced Implant Site Development in Seattle Washington. Dr. DiMento is married and is the father of two boys. He has been practicing in the Syracuse area since 1994.
Introducing Dr. Joseph Meluni! Dr. Meluni was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. He graduated as valedictorian from Westhill High School in 2012. He went on to be a Presidential Scholar and graduate Suma Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA obtaining a B.S. in Chemistry from SUNY Geneseo. Dr. Meluni graduated number one in his class from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine with a concentration in Prosthodontics. He is also a certified provider of Invisalign orthodontic therapy. Dr. Meluni returned to his Syracuse roots to complete a General Practice Residency at St. Josephs Hospital Health Center gaining experience in endodontic, pediatric, surgical, and cosmetic dentistry. When he is not in the office, Dr. Meluni enjoys hiking, golfing, kayaking, and spending time with his wife, son, and family.

My name is Sara and I joined the team in 2014. I am a certified dental assistant with a passion for general dentistry. I received my CDA license from Liverpool OCM BOCES. I also hold an associates degree from Morrisville State College in Liberal Arts Social Science. My name is Alexis. I was born and raised in Syracuse. I became a CDA in 2013 and was the recipient of the Onondaga County Dental Society Award Scholarship. I became a member of Dr DiMentos team in June of 2016. Since then I have built great friendships with our staff and patients. When I am not at work I am spending time with my daughter Tehya, our cats or my family. I love to cook, hike, fish and just being outside. I have learned so much since I started working here and look forward to continuing my education whether it be thru a class, our patients or other staff members.
My name is Valerie and I was given the wonderful opportunity to join Your Syracuse Family Dentist in 2002 as Drs assistant. In 2009 I was offered the position of Office Manager. Each and every day I love being able to come into the office and work with such dedicated and caring staff. I really cannot put into words what an amazing group this is. The whole staff. From the front desk, assistants, hygeniests. Everyone here is so happy, friendly and welcoming. How every medical office should be! Both dentists are incredible. They don't just care about your teeth and oral health but your overall health which I have never experienced at a Dentist. Blown away truly.

What a warm welcoming atmosphere. The practice provides something you do not feel a lot of anymore they give you their full attention make you feel comfortable and are not in a hurry. There is a willingness to help. Dr. Dimento is awesome and very professional.

I've been going to this practice for as long as I can remember and they provide the upmost care. The hygienists, Dr. DiMento and Dr. Meluni always take time to explain what they are doing and always make sure you are comfortable.

Took me in asap; I was scared, haven't seen dentist since about 2015; breast cancer put the teeth on the back burner, they have a very relaxing atmosphere and everyone was so nice.....I'll be looking forward to bringing my smile back to life! Thank you for being there!

I needed some serious dental work after a lifetime of neglect. Have been coming to this place for the repairs for a little over a year. Today, I am getting my last filling. They are all knowledgeable, skilled, gentle, kind and understanding. I am the biggest baby in the whole world when it comes to dental work. I had some extractions and Alexis held my hand through the whole thing. Dr. DiMento is absolutely wonderful. He took so much time with me. He explained everything to me in detail and just what his plan was for me. He made sure I was never ever in any pain. I now have a beautiful smile. I would recommend this wonderful dentist and his staff to everyone.

I had a cavity filled for the first time by Doctor DiMento yesterday and it was completely painless and stress-free. Dr. DiMento was concerned that I might be afraid, but after having several dentist appointments at this location, I knew not to worry. However, he made sure to talk me through what he was doing to make sure I was comfortable. I am glad that I have such a good dentist. I highly recommend Dr. DiMento and his staff.

The absolute best dentist in our area. Dr. Dimento was born to be a dentist. He cares so deeply for his patients. Doc takes his time to explain any issues you may have and knows the best way to solve them for the long run. Also, he hires the greatest people that care just as much as him. His entire team is awesome.
