Dr. Dickerson opened his family dentistry practice in April, 2000. For over ten years, Derrick Dickerson, DMD has been providing the local community of Mesa, AZ with a wide array of dental procedures including Invisalign. Along with providing the patients of Mesa with excellent dental care, he also does humanitarian dental work with his father in third world countries annually.
Dr. Dickerson grew up in California and Utah before attending The University of Utah and Brigham Young University. He graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1997 with honors. He and his wife then moved back to Utahwhere practiced with his father in Pleasant Grove for two years prior to moving to Arizona. He then started the office here in 2000 and has enjoyed becoming an Arizonan.
Dr. Dickerson has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education on dental implants, cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign, and enjoys implementing that knowledge in caring for the patients that trust us with their dental health. He is a member of the Arizona Dental Association, Central Arizona Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry, where he is working toward a Fellowship Award.
He and his wife of 27 years and their four children live in Gilbert. He enjoys golf, gardening, family travel and outdoor activities. He currently works with the 16-18 year old young men in his neighborhood in their scouting and church activities.

Originally from Joliet, Illinois, Karin moved to Arizona in 2003 to be closer to her family. She attended Joliet Junior College before deciding to enter the dental field, and has been as assistant since 1998. She has been an invaluable member of the Dickerson team since April, 2009.
Deanna's love for dentistry began in 1994 as a chairside dental assistant in Mesa. She continued on to graduate with highest distinction from Rio Salado School of dental hygiene in 2004, and joined the Dickerson team in August, 2009. She has felt at home ever since. She especially enjoys getting to know the patients and families she cares for and not just their teeth and gums!As a native of the Chandler/Gilbert area, Deanna enjoyed the western way of life growing up, participating in rodeos. She, along with her husband and two children, now reside in San Tan Valley (Queen Creek). She enjoys being active and spending time at home with her family and animals.
Tiana graduated from Rio Salado School of dental hygiene. She has been practicing hygiene since 2008 and absolutely loves it! She has been with Dr. Dickerson's office since February, 2010. She was raised in raised in Gilbert where she met and married her high school sweetheart.They live in Gilbert with their daughter and 3 sons.
Jenny is one of the rare Arizona natives! Her love of all things dental started when she had braces her senior year of high school. Upon graduating, she started in the dental field as a chairside dental assistant. She graduated from Carrington College Dental Hygiene program early 2015 and has been practicing ever since. She has been a part of the Dickerson team since June, 2016.
Sharlie is excited to join her sister Tiana, as a part of the Dickerson team! She started her dental career at the end of 2017 and enjoys helping and getting to know her patients. She's a heat-loving Arizona native and loves being the favorite aunt to her six nieces and nephews.
Her passion for the dental field came from being a patient here for manyyears and volunteering at a homeless clinic. She's planning on being a partof the Dickerson team for a couple of years before attending dental schoolherself.
She enjoys traveling with her parents and going on cruises and spends hersummers with her parents in northern Michigan. In her free time, she enjoysplaying with her older brother's two children and her min-pin, Rocky.
Mindi graduated from Rio Salado College School of Dental Hygiene and is an Arizona native. After watching her siblings all pursue careers in the dental field it didnt take long for her to realize it was where she wanted to be too. As a mother of four children she loves working with our younger patients to help them build good daily habits. She enjoys getting to know her patients and building long lasting relationships. Mindi was raised in Mesa and met her husband while attending ASU. In her free time, she loves spending it with her family traveling, watching football and spending time at their family cabin.
