Dr. Derek Grieco is a 1992 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies at Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA. Upon graduation from the University of Pittsburgh, he completed a year long residency program at Allegheny General Hospital located in Pittsburgh, PA. In 1993, Dr. Grieco transitioned in to an existing private practice in Murrysville, PA where he has been fortunate enough to serve the community for the past 26 years. He has specialized in general dentistry for many years, but in the last decade and a half, Dr. Grieco has been moving in a more biologic/holistic direction.
Dr. Grieco believes that good health begins in the mouth and treating illness begins with an assessment of oral health. Consequently, Dr. Grieco has spent countless hours of studying and research to create a more biological and holistic practice. In the late 1990s, a good friend encouraged Dr. Grieco to begin investigating biological dentistry and safe mercury removal procedures. He credits Dr. Hal Huggins and Dr. Blanche Grube as his mentors in the field of biological dentistry. He has received extensive training by Dr. Hal Huggins and Dr. Blanche Grube in the Huggins/Grube safe mercury removal protocol and related modalities. He is a member of the IABDM and the IAOMT. Dr.Grieco is also SMART certified by the IAOMT. He is also a member of the Weston Price Foundation and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). Biological dentistry has become Dr. Griecos passion. He becomes fully invested in the health and wellbeing of his patients and loves to assist each of them in achieving their wellness goals through biologic dentistry.
Dr. Grieco has been married for 25 years and has 4 adult children. His interests include spending time and traveling with his family, exercise and physical fitness, and organic cooking. He is a member of Donated Dental Services where he donates dental services to help the underprivileged. He sponsors Athletes in Action, Commission to Every Nation and sponsors two children through Compassion International. He believes strongly in biblical principles and his favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

Dr. Grieco is honestly an amazing dentist ! I have been trying to get a tooth fixed for over 1.5 years & have tried several reputable dentist with no luck.... Dr.Grieco fixed it with no problem at all .... He takes his time , truly cares about his patients & really wants to fix the problem .... My kids have both had cavities filled with no problems at all , they actually love going there .... If you don't like the dentist or are just looking for a GREAT one , give him a call , you won't regret it !

I used to hate going to the dentist. it was always super uncomfortable and unpleasant. But not anymore. Dr Grieco has the best bed side manner i have ever seen. He always makes sure that i am comfortable (he has this really comfortable pad he brings out for me to sit on and this super comfortable neck rest. He is always asking me am i okay? is the pressure ok? Everyone in the office is great. All of the Dental assistants and Donna his right hand gal is always so cheery and friendly. If you are looking for a great dentist who cares about you, look no further. Dr. Derek Grieco is the best. Lynn Reynolds., his ever so thankful patient

I was looking for good Reviews for Dentist on facebook group . And come up Derek P Grieco PC in Murrysville.And tell my husband to make an appoiment for teeth cleaning. After everything done, they charge me over $500.I feel like been rip off... Just a warning.. Dont ever go there for teeth cleaning or any related!

Dr. Derek and his staff genuinely care about their patients. As a new patient to biological dentistry, Dr. Derek took the time to explain procedures, options, etc. He and his staff make the environment as comfortable as possible, waterfall to soothe as you wait, soft, relaxing music to ease your nerves and let's not forget his soft witted humor. Best decision I made on a whim. A truly amazing practice. Highly recommended!
