Dr. Gordon is a South Lake Tahoe native and graduate of South Tahoe High School. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of San Francisco and attended dental school at New York University College of Dentistry in Manhattan. She graduated from dental school in 2005 and has worked as a general dentist in Gardnerville and Lake Tahoe ever since.
Dr. Gordon's passion for dentistry began at the age of 16 when she worked for a general dentist here in South Tahoe. She has worked in dentistry since that time and stays up to date with oral health research and dental techniques via continuing education. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Sacramento District Dental Society.
Kim has lived in Tahoe for over 25 years.Sheearned her Associates Degree from Lake Tahoe Community College and then went on toearn her Bachelors of Sciencein Dental Hygienefrom Loma Linda University in 1997.Kim started working for Dr. Nicole Gordon part time in 2014, and as of May 2016, has been with Dr. Gordon full time. Kim and her husband enjoy raising their two daughters in Tahoe.

Very Skilled and Caring Office! Dr. Derek is extremely skilled, professional and detailed with his work. The office is very patient, kind and caring. My circumstances required a lot of extra attention and time, even so, everything was diligently taken care of, and I was always comfortable. I received excellent care! I am so glad to have a smart, caring office around the corner, and I am definitely looking forward to continuing my oral care with Dr. Appelblatt, and his staff! Thank you!Thank You!Thank you!

Derek cleaned my teeth after I had been long avoiding doing so due to pandemic fears. He was kind, professional and funny. While I was hesitant to come in because I felt like he would make comments about how long it had been, he was very understanding and in quick work I felt like my mouth was brand new. Will be going back soon for my check up!

Dr Appelblatt is a one of a kind dentist. I had the wonderful opportunity of being his patient when I was a student in San Francisco. As a dentist myself, I can say that Dr. Appelblatt's attention to detail and artistry is hard to come by. I have worked with hundreds of dentists and he is at the top, he does not cut any corners. If you are one of his patients, consider yourself and your teeth very lucky!
