Board Certified Periodontist since 2003. He received his undergraduate degree in Bio-Chemistry from SUNY Stony Brook in 1992 and completed his dental degree from NYU College of Dentistry in 1997. He practiced as a general dentist for several years before finishing his post-doctoral studies in periodontics also at NYU in 2003.
His experience as a general dentist prior to becoming a periodontist gives him a better overall perspective on treatment options and aesthetic outcome. He has clinical experience in such fields as orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics and pathology, making it possible to give patients a complete assessment of their oral health
Dr. Tsiokos was born in Greece and came to the US at a young age. He has been happily married for over 3 years. In his free time, he enjoys hockey, skiing, astronomy, traveling and spending time with his family

Mariana received her Dental Hygiene Degree from Hostos Community College in 2006, graduating with honors. She participates in seminars and continuing education courses focusing in the field of Periodontics and Oral Health. Mariana considers the comfort and health of her patients as her first priority, while focusing on preventive dental therapy. She is loved by her patients for her thorough and gentle care. Certified in administering nitrous oxide, local anesthesia and LPD (laser periodontal disinfection.)

Dr. Tsiokos is caring, gentle and truly amazing at what he does. I'm terrified of dental work and needed gum surgery for extensive recession and was looking for a periodontist that performed the pinhole technique. He explained the procedure in detail, answered all my questions and concerns which were many. He gave me the best shots I've ever had, didn't feel a thing and the surgery went smoothly. I had minimal pain and the results were fantastic. Highly recommend to anyone who needs periodontal work.

I highly recommend Dr. Tsiokos !! He has great bedside manners and is extremely gentle. He explains everything that he is going to do in detail. He placed 2 implants on me on the lower left and his prices were not outrageous. Recovery was easier than the extractions itself (**he did not do my extractions).
