Dr. McNeil-Amorteguy began working in Ojai after graduation. But, a weekend trip to San Luis Obispo created the magic needed to turn everything upside down and make a home here. She and her husband, Michael, have two children. Time outside the office is shared with her family and friends, hiking, traveling, reading, cooking and local wine tasting. Her volunteer work includes fundraising for the American Heart Association, 40 Prado and the California Dental Association Foundation.
Chelsea is a born and raised SLO native and loves living on the central coast. She graduated from San Luis High school and attended Cuesta College perusing a career in Floral Design. In high school, she took a floral design class and found she had a passion for it. She has been designing ever since! Chelsea loves spending time with her daughter. They love going to the movies, and taking day trips to their favorite place Disneyland! They have been annual passholders for 3 years and love getting to experience the magic together. Prior to working in the dental field, she worked at an Optometrist office where she found she really enjoyed interacting with patients and creating a comfortable and organized setting. She is experienced in helping you get the best care for your dental needs. She loves interacting with patients and creating a calming and enjoyable environment for everyone. Chelsea is very excited to be working with such a great team and looks forward to meeting each patient!
Janet is a native of the Central Coast. She was raised in Cayucos, graduated high school at Coast Joint Union in Cambria and then graduated Cuesta College with her AS degree. Her decision to become a dental assistant lead her to Pasadena City College. She graduated as a Registered and Certified Dental Assistant; she has enjoyed this position for over 38 years. During this time she continues her education in Oral Sedation and is happy being a part of Dr. Amorteguys staff. Her main goal is to make sure your dental visit is comfortable and positive. Janet and her husband, Dennis, have two sons. Her hobbies include ringing the bells at Mission de Tolosa for the 9am Mass on Sunday mornings and being a docent at the Mission. She and her husband like to travel when they can. And, she has her three dogs and a horse to complete her busy life.
We are fortunate to have Teryn on our team with over 27 years of dental office experience. Her current role is to quarterback insurance claims and payments for our patients. She boasts 10 years of back-office experience, and easily transitioned to the front office after that. Teryn grew up in San Luis Obispo and loves everything about the Central Coast. She is married to a dedicated high school football coach who also teaches AP history. David and Teryn have two beautiful daughters who enjoy the outdoors with them; biking, camping, beaching and boating. Teryn finds satisfaction in helping you maximize your dental benefits and helping you manage the financial portion of your dental care. She will answer all of your questions with a bright smile.
Summer is a native of the Central Coast and has been on practice for 15 years. She graduated top in her class from Fresno College in 2006. She is laser certified and likes to volunteer yearly at Arroyo Grande Life Hope Centers providing free dental cleanings. Education classes, workshops and seminars, in order to stay at the forefront of dentistry and provide her patients the most current treatment options. Summer loves getting to know her patients and providing them with the highest level of individualized care. She had a deep respect for each patients unique needs and makes a point at putting the patient at ease and creating a comfortable environment where they can relax and know they will be cared for. In her spare time, Summer loves to spend time with her son, family, and friends. She loves doing home projects, landscaping, watching her sons sporting events, the outdoors, traveling, hiking, and the beach.
Dr. Fee was raised in Santa Maria. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from Allan Hancock College. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology then a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. After owning her own dental practice in Santa Maria for over 30 years. Dr. Fee now focuses her expertise on prevention and dental hygiene. She is delighted and proud to be part of Dr. Amorteguys talented dental team. Dr. Fee strives to provide each patient with personalized dental hygiene care in a relaxed and caring environment. Dr. Fees interest outside of dentistry are vacationing near the ocean, watching sports with her family and friends, going to horse shows and enjoying the outdoors.

I've been a patient of Dr. Amorteguy's for about 20 years. 20 years should tell you how amazing she and her staff are. Summer has been my go-to hygienist for many years. I could not imagine having anyone else care for my teeth.

Dr.Amorteguy is such a good, kind Dentist. I have been with Doctor Amorteguy for over 25 years. She has all new staff since my past appointment 5 years ago. The staff does an amazing job. They make you feel comfortable throughout the experience and are very knowledgeable. My significant other and I have been going here for years. Another important thought is how they worked with my significant other whom has anxiety issues with dentists and other medical personnel. They did a great job changing the environment by providing background music with headphones to make her visits less anxious.

After not not going to the dentist for many many years Dr Amorteguy calmly said, 'we're going to focus on you being here today, no need to focus on the past, we're going to start anew from here,'...that set the tone and was the beginning of a great visit. I look forward to my ongoing visits.

Chipped a canine (badly) at dinner one evening. I called them the next morning, and they got me in the chair that afternoon. The procedure went quickly and without the least bit of pain or stress, and it was all done in a way that was both fully professional and friendly. You can't ask for more from a dental service. Top notch.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and Dr. Amorteguy was awesome. She broke everything down in a way I could understand and was conservative with treatment. This was the best experience I've ever had at the dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Amorteguy and her awesome technicians and staff!

An already exceptional experience one receives from the dentistry office of Deborah McNeil-Amorteguy just keeps getting better and better. This week, my wife and I had our teeth cleaned and we could not be happier. My wife dreads visits to the dentist while I always look forward to the pampered feeling of their relaxing chair. Both of us were elated to discover that the office now offers the skills of a retired dentist, Dr. Fee, formerly practicing in Santa Maria, as their dental hygienist. She was the ultimate professional who kept us minutely informed with every step of her procedures while adding comforting banter on the way. As does every member of the office staff, she conveyed the message that your dental health is a priority. It would be a mighty challenge to equal the level of care you receive from this dental practice.

The staff and Doctor were very accommodating with my urgent concern and scheduled me quickly to have a crown put back that fell off after 20 years. I keep going back because they are thorough and informative. I always know what the Doctor needs to do and the billing process is clear.
