When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Ellett enjoys fishing, working in the yard, spending time with his family and Ole Miss football. He is an active member of Grace Church, a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, Greenville County Dental Society and volunteers regularly with the Greenville Free Medical and Dental Clinic.

A true icon in the dental community, Dr. David Watson is a dedicated professional and a devoted family man. A local graduate of Greenville High School and Furman University, Dr. Watson received his dental licensure at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He is married to the love of his life, Gail, and they have three talented children and elevenadorable grandchildren (proudly displayed throughout the office and on this website). When Dr. Watson is not in the office, he enjoys catching lightning bugs, hunting for sharks teeth, or riding on the tractor with his grandkids. He loves waking up early on Saturday mornings at the lake to cook pancakes and eggs for his family. During the almost 40 years Dr. Watson has practiced dentistry, he has exemplified what it means to give back to his community. He has served as President of the South Carolina Dental Association and the South Carolina Academy of Dental Practice Administration. He has traveled throughout the state of South Carolina and occasionally nationwide to speak to others about practice management issues.

Also in 2007, Dr. Watson was honored by being selected the first recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Service Award from the College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. MUSCs Service Award is presented to an alumnus who has given selflessly through extraordinary actions that benefit the college, their community, or the profession of dentistry during the past year. The actions should serve to benefit a deserving population and as an inspiration to others.

That same year, Dr. Watsons dental alma mater established the David Watson Ethics Seminar in his honor. As part of his efforts to begin a clinical ethics and professionalism course at the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Watson spent innumerable hours researching various programs, visiting other schools, drafting a specific model for the students at the College of Dental Medicine, and initiating the first course in April 2006. The faculty and students at MUSC were so impressed and his first course received such enthusiastic responses that the program was named after him in 2007.

In 2011, Dr. Watson was once again honored by his alma mater by receiving the MUSC Alumni Associations highest award, The Alumni Award of Honor. According to MUSC, this award is presented to an alumnus of the College of Dental Medicine in recognition of outstanding service and contributions to the alumni association, the college, their community, or the profession of dentistry over the last 10 years. The dental community holds the recipient in the highest esteem. Dr. Watsons goal was never to win awards or acclaim, but he has felt humbled that his passion for dentistry and his love for his community have resulted in such gracious recognition.

Although Dr. Watson would argue that others deserve these recognitions more than he, to date he is the only recipient of both South Carolina Dental Associations and the Medical University of SC Alumni Associations highest honors.

He continues to teach and mentor upcoming dental students in South Carolina, has chaired many fundraisers, and served for over twenty years as a deacon at his church. Dr. Watsons patients trust his professionalism and rely on the kindness he demonstrated every day to make them smile. He is meticulous about his dental work, always careful that not a speck of plaque has been left behind after a cleaning and that a filling feels so natural the patient will forget its there. But he doesnt take everything quite so seriously. Patients know Dr. Watson is coming down the hallway because they can hear him singing his own rendition of Johnny Cashs I Keep My Eyes Wide Open All the Time. He would sing Christmas carols year round if his staff would let him, but patients are thankful they dont! At home Dr. Watson watches American Idol with his lovely wife and may have even called in a few votes.

Dr. Ellett is my dentist and despite my move to Florida, I've kept him because he is the best!!! I've always received great service from the entire staff!! This week my braces came off and Dr. Ellett did a build up to fill in one of my teeth that was on the skinny side!!! I absolutely love the outcome and I love my smile!!! 20 out of 10!I highly recommend!!! Thank you Dr. Ellett and staff for such an awesome experience every single time!!! And their chapstick is the best out there too!!!!!

Mitchell and his staff are very attentive and surprisingly conservative on what they prescribe. They do a very good job of separating what must be done versus what could be done.

Beautiful office, they have recently redecorated! More important is my first time there was amazing. Everyone on staff came to greet me and made me feel less nervous. I am shy if not scared when it comes to dental offices to say the least! Amazing gentle and friendly and team of people working there. I will go back!

I was on a business trip when the bonding on my front tooth broke... it was not pretty. My regular dentist was out of town and they referred me to Dr. Ellett. They scheduled an appointment for the day I got back. Dr. Ellett and his staff were exceptional and had it all fixed up in just over an hour. Thanks to Dr. Ellett and his team for making this an easy experience!

Outstanding dentists and office staff. We feel like part of the family every time we go! My husband works very irregular hours and they have always been willing to work with him and make his dental health their priorty. Everybody loves Dr. Watson, but Dr. Ellett is also just as amazing and will be our dentist for a long time to come!
