Dr. Ward is a native of Georgia,graduating fromLithonia High School in 1989. He then went on to Baylor University, graduating with a BS degreein Biology in 1993. Attending the Medical College of GeorgiaSchool of Dentistry he received hisdoctorate in 1997.
After completing dental school,he continued his educationat the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry completing a residency in Advanced Education for General Dentistry in 1998. Dr. Wardbegan his own dental practice in 1999 in the Hamilton Mill area of Dacula, GA.
Being committed to continuous learning, Dr. Ward has completed additional advanced education programs while in private practice.He is proud to have earned The Dawson Academy'sAward for Concepts of Complete DentistryandaCertificate of Higher Achievement from The Schuster Center.
Dr. Ward met his wife Anna, an occupational therapist,while in dental school. They are the proud parentsof three children, Caroline, Jake and Hunter. Their family enjoys many activities including church, sports, musicand travel. Dr. Ward enjoys golf and water skiing.
Dr. Uyen D. Maschek joined our practice in 2014 after the recommendation of multiple dental colleagues from the Medical College of Georgia and here in our community. Dr. Maschek is a graduate of Kennesaw State University, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelors degree in Biology in 2009. She then attended the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2014.
While in dental school, Dr. Maschek conducted research on dental materials. Her research article entitled, Effect of Curing Light Barriers and Light Types on Energy Density and Composite Conversion is presently under consideration for publication in the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry. In addition to her academic achievements, Dr. Maschek participated in the Medical Campus Outreach Weekly Womens Bible Study and has done mission work on the Amazon River near Iquitos, Peru.
Dr. Maschek is committed to continuous learning and is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She has also been awarded Excellence in Prosthodontics by SEAP.
When Dr. Maschek is not creating beautiful smiles, she enjoys rock climbing, traveling, exercising, and cooking. She also attends Transfiguration Catholic Church. After church, she joins her teammates in a co-ed kickball and volleyball game.
Monica has been with our office since 2005. She studied at Washtenaw College in Michigan. She is fluent in two languages and studying to learn a third. Monica is married with two daughters and two sons. She enjoys family time, tennis, reading and traveling.
Jacquelyn has been with our office since 2000. She is married with two children. She is an avid outdoors enthusiast and likes taking hikes and biking while sharpening her photography skills alongthe way.
Maribeth has been with our office since 2015 and primarily assists Dr. Maschek. She is married with two beautiful daughters. Outside of the office, Maribeth enjoys spending time with her family, working out and spoiling her two dogs.
Missy has been with the office since 2021. She received her degree from Athens Technical college in 2002. She is married and has 2 children. Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
Zena met Dr. Ward several years ago when they both attended Mt. CarmelChristian Church. She has been with our office since 2009. She received her degree in dental hygiene from Armstrong AtlanticUniversity. Outside of the office, Zena mostly enjoys spending time with her husbandand two sons.
Bringing years of clinical experience to our staff, Marian has been with our office since 2008. She is married and has one daughter. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and the going to the beach.
Karen grew up in a small town off of Maine's beautiful coast. After moving to Georgia, she continued her dental career and is now happy to be working with Hamilton Mill Dental Center. Karen has over 25 years of dental experience and enjoys all aspects of her job from welcoming patients to congratulating them on their new smile. Away from the office, she enjoys traveling, photography and volunteering at her son's school.
