David R. Newkirk, DDS, in addition to practicing general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry is also active as a lecturer and educator in the field of dentistry. Dr. Newkirk has been practicing dentistry since graduating from Loyola School of Dentistry in 1993. His career has been enhanced by his commitment to continuing education and his involvement in several professional organizations.
Dr. Newkirk is a former associate clinical professor at Northwestern University School of Dentistry. He has been selected by his peers to be published in The Best Dentists in America. Dr. Newkirk is also on the faculty of the Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Study, a St. Petersburg-based teaching facility for dentists around the world to learn from some of the leading educators in dentistry.
Besides being asked by other dentists to do their smile makeovers, Dr. Newkirk has been sought out by many prestigious people from around the world, including the Saudi Arabian royal family. He is routinely selected by his peers as a top dentist in the Chicagoland area.
Staying on the leading edge has always been a priority for Dr. Newkirk. This is demonstrated by his dedication to continuing education. He was the youngest dentist to complete all the courses at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study in Florida. In addition, he has taken several courses at the prestigious L.D. Pankey Institute and the Seattle Center for Advanced Dental Study. Dr. Newkirk is also a member of many dental study clubs in the area.

I have been in the dental field since 2005. Looking for a job, I saw an ad for a dental assistant. It sounded like something I would enjoy. Obviously, I did since I am still here! The first office I worked with allowed me to learn both dental assisting and the front desk. I feel most at home at the front desk greeting patients as they come in the front door. I have a passion for people and love meeting new faces. Its wonderful! I am able to move back and forth between the front desk and assisting as needed. Im honored to be part of the Newkirk dental team.
Hi! My name is Nicole. Ive been working at Dr. Newkirks office since 2014 on a part-time basis. I graduated from Elmhurst College in 1996 with a bachelors degree in biology. I went on to Harper College to get my license in dental hygiene where I graduated in 1999. As your dental hygienist, I am committed to helping you keep your mouth happy and healthy. My goal is to assist your needs as a patient, whether it is home care solutions, problematic areas in the mouth, or basic dental education. You will receive the best possible care while in my chair. Your comfort is my priority.
Outside of the office, I keep very busy with my family, friends, and dog, Rex. In the evenings, you can usually find me at the ballpark or basketball court watching my two boys play. Theres nothing more important to me than family. I look forward to meeting you and your family at the office!
Jessica joined our team last July 2019. She received her license in Dental Hygiene from Prairie State College in 2005. I am extremely thankful to be able to work alongside of Dr. Newkirk because of his vast knowledge of dentistry, exceptional restorative care and compassion for all of his patients. I am passionate about oral health and it is my goal to provide the highest standard of care to you and your family!
Ive been in the dental field since 1979! I was introduced to the dental world while visiting a vocational school during my high school years. The day of my visit, they were working with plaster and I was sold as I love to work with my hands.
My goal is to help everyone achieve their dream smile or restore function to a troubled mouth. I desire to make your journey a positive experience. I am the mother of 3 beautiful daughters and grandmother of 2 boys. I love being Mimi to my grandsons! I enjoy shopping and finding bargains for my family. My family means the world to me.

We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients; therefore, payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at 630-717-9499. Many times, a simple telephone call will clear any misunderstandings.
We will send you a monthly statement. Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated. We can make arrangements for a monthly payment plan but this must be done prior to the actual procedure.

I came to Dr. Newkirk after a bad experience at another dentist. I had been considering veneers for a couple of teeth. The first dentist I consulted wanted to do veneers on six teeth instead of the two I had requested--plus they wanted to do crowns as opposed to veneers. I did some research and learned that crowns were not advised as veneers for healthy teeth (as crowns will require far more trimming of the existing tooth than veneers). They also required me to buy an electronic toothbrush and a mouth guard in addition to the cost of the dental work. Spooked by the $12,000 estimate (they added in braces to the estimate as well!!) and the thought of grinding down so many teeth, I searched for alternatives. I had gone to Dr. Newkirk some years back for dental work and decided to consult with him on the veneers. He determined that the work could be done with ONLY two veneers and quickly created temporaries so I could see what the teeth would look like before I committed to anything. The work was seamless, beautiful and done at far FAR less cost than the quote from the original dentist. I was glad I trusted my gut and decided to get a second opinion with an actual cosmetic dentist. It saved me tons of money and helped me keep my teeth intact.

As a brand new patient, they went above and beyond to accommodate me and replace a crown with little advance notification. No shortcuts here. They take their time in explaining this pain free procedure and ensure you're comfortable with the entire process. Wonderful results! I definitely found a dentist for life and I'm bringing the family with me.

I have been a patient of Dr Newkirk for over 10 years. I grew up in a dental family and I know what to look for in a dentist and his staff. This office checks all of the boxes. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I feel comfortable, safe and respected in the office. Dr Newkirk explains what treatment you need and why you need it. He is conservative in his treatment while being thorough. I have never felt rushed or pressured into treatment. The hygienists are also gentle and very competent. I highly recommend this office.

Professionalism, comfort, ease. These three adjectives describe my experience at Dr. Newkirk's office. From routine cleanings to cavity fills, our service with Dr. Newkirk and his wonderful staff has made our dental care easy to understand and follow. We have have actually had more than 50% fewer cavities following Dr. Newkirk's care. Also, Dr. Newkirk and his staff go above and beyond caring for their patients. When I had a deep cavity several years ago, Dr. Newkirk was worried that it might flare in the near future. I was scheduled to go on an overseas trip. Dr. Newkirk provided me with the name and number of one of his colleagues in London in case I had trouble. That is invaluable service. I recommend Dr. Newkirk and his office to all!!!!

Incredibly wonderful and caring Dentistry is what you will receive from Dr Newkirk and all his staff. Attention to detail and the best in making sure that clients receive all the care needed is a hallmark of the office. I have been going to Dr Newkirk along with my family for over 10 years. He has fixed everything from bite shifting in my jaw to crowns to inlays and on-lays to prosthetic tooth replacement. He is a wonderful and gifted dentist and is also a top in his field with other dentists seeking him out to learn from them. I very highly recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Newkirk and his staff couldn't be more personable, patient friendly and patient orientated. From appointment setting to making sure you're comfortable throughout the visit, they're main concern is the patient and the patient's needs. I came to see Dr. Newkirk on a recommendation when I had some of the worst tooth pain & my original dentist wasn't able to diagnose the cause. Dr. Newkirk was informative and upfront about what was going on and the steps that we needed to take, to address the problem. Since then, I've had multiple procedures done (onlay, crown, filling), and go regularly for check-ups. The staff is so helpful with everything from making sure I've been comfortable while in the chair, to setting up future appointments & working with my insurance. I know they're dentists closer to where I live, but I choose to drive the 40 minutes it takes me, just to see Dr. Newkirk, well worth it!

I've been coming to Dr. Newkirk's practice for over 20 years. He always knows the latest in dental technology, but keeps me coming back for his trustworthiness and friendliness. Everyone in the office is super friendly and they've gone out of their way numerous times to accommodate my schedule or my needs. Somehow they've created a family atmosphere in a place of business that most people would never want to go (who really "likes" going to the dentist?!). Nicole and Cari have cleaned my teeth for years, and both are excellent with a soft touch. Most recently, Nicole made me feel so comfortable, my appointment was over before I had a chance to feel anything. You'll be doing yourself a favor if you choose Dr. Newkirk's practice!
