After practicing for over 20 years in South Hampton Roads, Dr. Mueller has the expertise to enhance, enrich and refresh your look and your oral health. He possess the specialized skills that are required to make cosmetic procedures look as natural as possible. He also has the expertise to help patients who suffer from painful conditions such as wisdom teeth, TMJ/TMD disorders, traumatic injuries and conditions caused by missing teeth.
As a surgeon and accomplished painter, Dr. Mueller draws upon his innate abilities to give patients amazing results and the look that they desire whether its eliminating frown lines with Botox or permanently lifting a brow.
Nothing is more rewarding than helping my clients feel and look their best. It is a passion of mine. That is why I personally treat every client in my practice. I dont simply hand anyone off to an allied staff member.
Dr. Mueller is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has cosmetic facial surgery, oral & maxillofacial surgery and anesthesia certifications from the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Health Professions.
Renowned for his experience as a facial, reconstructive and cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Mueller serves on the multi-trauma team for the Sentara Hospital System. He is a clinical instructor at Eastern Virginia Medical School in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He is also an assistant professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth Universitys Medical College of Virginia.
As an educator in cosmetic facial, craniofacial and oral surgery as well as anesthesia, Dr. Mueller has lectured internationally on facial cosmetic surgery, TMJ surgery, tissue engineering, craniofacial trauma as well as head and neck pathology. He has taught Botox and filler techniques for the Allergan Corporation and laser techniques for the Lumenis Corporation to physicians throughout the United States.
Helping patients outside his practice, locally and internationally, has always been an important role for Dr. Mueller. Over the last 25 years, he has helped the Jamaica Relief Mission an organization that works in conjunction with the Medical College of Virginia to treat more than 20,000 adults and children. Dr. Mueller helped the mission establish a permanent medical clinic in the Trelawney Parrish of Jamaica.
In Virginia, Dr. Mueller has provided pro bono medical services to Hope House for Boys and adults, the Samaritan House for battered women and children and various homeless shelters in South Hampton Roads. He has worked closely with the Virginia Missions of Mercy Project and the Virginia Donated Dental Services Program to help residents who cannot afford traditional medical care. Dr Mueller also caters to those with special needs in the safe environment of the hospital outpatient setting.
Outside of work and volunteering, Dr. Mueller enjoys spending time with his two sons who share his passion for music, the arts and the beach. Dr. Mueller is also an accomplished artist, who specializes in the media of oils and acrylics. His work has been displayed in museums such as the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

I had THE best experience with the entire team from the office manager to Dr. Mueller himself. Throughout the process from the consultation to the actual surgery I felt so comfortable and could trust that I was in good hands. The whole team is so personable, attentive and genuine. After seeing many doctors, dentists, orthodontists, and oral surgeons, who were unable to help me, Dr. Mueller quickly diagnosed me and performed the necessary surgery. He is professional and talented. His staff is wonderful! I'm very thankful to have found him.

Professional indeed ,empathic, kind and caring was everyone at this office. I was in a medical emergency and was referred to Dr Mueller for 2 oral surgeries previous, days before each other that went wrong by another Dr .1st one was perforated sinus cavity now severely infected and pain so badly and swelling lymnodes were swollen in neck,around my ears. They were concerned about the situation and took care of me.I can say enough of how they made me feel .They care about the helpless and that's rare in this day and age! Thank you Dr.M.

I genuinely should've never came to this office. This is worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. Huge lack of care for my treatment for my TMJ. I had to fight with him about fixing my guard which he messed up because he still insisted nothing was wrong. Finally they got me an appointment and had to shave it down because of how wrong it was when I first got it. I also got my X-rays done in a literal closet. In the later part of my treatment when I told him I was in pain he said there was nothing wrong and dismissed my discomfort and didn't even have me in the chair for five minutes. He said to call when I needed adjustments which I did and he still didn't fix my guard after it hadn't been adjusted for three months. They are very rude and unprofessional. I'm still currently in pain and I'll never recommend this doctor to anyone.

Dr. Mueller did an absolutely phenomenal job at correcting my jaw. I don't think I could have found a better surgeon, staff, or overall experience. 10/10, would do jaw surgery again.

I went to Dr Mueller to have teeth extracted 7 of them to be precise. I found Dr. Mueller to be very professional. He removed them and I never felt any pain. He was very kind and so was his staff. I was really nervous when iI went but left feeling at ease. The ladies at he front desk were so polite. Would I go back to this Doctor again. Absolutely and I would highly recommend him to anyone. .Thanks Dr Mueller.

Dr Mueller is not friendly at all and I had a tooth pulled last week went back because I have having trouble and he said nothing was wrong and now my jaw is swollen and my eye is swollen shut. I will not be see him again and would never in my life recommend him to anyone.

I've found Dr. Mueller to be professional, informative, and courteous. At no point did I feel uncomfortable asking questions. I also felt that before as well as after my procedure that I had a clear understanding and comprehension of what was to take place. I'm thoroughly pleased with the results!
