Dr. Metzdorf Jr. (or 'Dr. Dave' as he is affectionately known to his patients) was born and raised in the Washington, DC area. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Maryland; then attended the University of Maryland 's dental school and received his DDS in 1998.
The most rewarding part of Dr. Metzdorfs job is being able change the negative stereotype about coming to the dentist that a client might have. He also enjoys discussing with patients how to be pro-active with their oral hygiene so small problems dont become larger ones down the road.

This was my first visit and I found everyone to be friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent at their jobs. Ellie, my hygienist, was very patient with my somewhat long winded explanations of my dental history and was very gentle, but thorough, when cleaning my teeth. Both Ellie and Dr Metzdorf answered my questions and didn't try to upsell me on procedures I didn't really need even when I suggested them. I will definitely recommend this practice to my friends.

I've been coming to see Dr. Metzdorf and his team for several years now. I first came to see Dr. Metzdorf regarding a filling that wasn't done properly by another dental clinic and he fixed me right up! The environment is welcoming, and the staff members are all so friendly and professional. I used to live right next door but even after moving, I still make the 30-40 min drive to come here for my dental needs. Can't say enough good things about this place. Thank you, Dr. Metzdorf & team

Dr Metzdorf Jr is a fantastic Dr. in terms of skillful technique and gentle attitude. I have been a patient of him for 10 years and never had a second thought to switch a dentist, though the office location it's not very close to where I live at. I just had two crowns installed yesterday --- and they are very happy and fitted their position perfectly. Thanks to Dr. Metzdorf Jr - and his team!

Dr. David Metzdorf and his team have created a safe and caring environment for dental work. I have been impressed by the answers Dr. Metzdorf gives to questions, the care and communication during dental cleaning, and the instantaneous xrays which they can take, and review immediately. They also have cloud images and live TV built into the ceiling, to look at during cleaning, which makes the appointments fly by. I would highly recommend them to any person moving into the area and looking for a dentist, or to someone looking to change dentists.

I was a new patient, and everyone in the office was so professional. Both Dr. Metzdorf, and Jill, the hygienist were knowledgeable and very informative. The entire office was very up-to-date with modern equipment and it has such a pleasant environment. I had a great experience and will be coming back regularly. One of the best!!

Dr. Metzdorf and his entire team are awesome!! Extremely professional, friendly, and caring. They do their best to accommodate any requests and work with you. I am always nervous of going to any doctor but Dr. Metzdorf and his team make it as comfortable as possible.

If you want a dentist that really cares about your smile :) and much more, I highly recommended, Dr. David Metzdorf. He will take care of every tooth you have, your gum, your underline problems and always will look at your own best benefits rather than his. We all feel so lucky to have such a reliable professional dentist with a professional crew that are always there for us. A loving and caring professional team that goes above and beyond in order to take care of you, even through rough and harsh time of Covid19. We always are amazed that regardless the consequences, we always leave their clinic with a bright smile:)

Met Dr. Metzdorf for my initial appointment today. He was gentle, kind, and provided me with explanations of his examination that were very understandable to a lay person. He also provided me with several options for the issues I had been experiencing. I would definitely recommend Dr. Metzdorf.

Dr. Metzdorf is a careful dental craftsman. He uses the most advanced technology. He is totally attuned to patient comfort and I have never felt any pain whatsoever in his office.
