A Pediatric Dentist has two additional years of training beyond dental school in a hospital or university environment to prepare him/her to treat any situation, simple or complex, related to infants, children and adolescents.
Special emphasis is placed upon the physical and emotional needs of the developing child. Our intent is to provide an environment second to non which will allow our patients to be relaxed and confident in our approach and our treatment. He was voted Top Dentist in 2013 and 2014!
Dr. David M. Rider graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1975. In 1978, Dr. Rider enrolled at the University Of Louisville School Of Dentistry and graduated in 1982. He completed his Pediatric Residency at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center in 1984. Dr. Rider lives in Northern Kentucky with his wife Vicki and has two children Lauren and Mylor.

Dr. Kelty McLaurin is from Jackson, Mississippi. She graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2010 and went on to complete her dental degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2015. Dr. Kelty completed her Pediatric Dental Residency from the University of Kentucky in 2017. Dr. Kelty is an active member in the ADA and the AAPD. She is a member of The Junior League of Cincinnati and stays active in the community.
She has been married to her wonderful husband for three years. In Dr. Keltys spare time she loves exploring Cincinnati with her husband, biking, running, cooking, and traveling. Dr. Kelty is so excited to work for Dr. Riders team and looks forward to taking special care of your children!

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Rider for 9 years now. We are Cincinnati residents but drive the distance to Dr. Rider's office every six months. Dr. Rider's office staff are amazing and are truly the poster children for admirable customer service! Dr. Rider possesses a warm and inviting demeanor. He exhibits immense competency in his line of work. Overall, he is absolutely great with my daughter!

We brought our 17 month old daughter to Dr. Kelty this morning and I've got nothing but great words for this practice and these wonderful people. It took us forever to find a dentist for her and we were so relieved finally getting her in somewhere. Didn't realize we got her into literally the best dental office in the greater Cincy area! First of all, the entire atmosphere is geared toward kids, it's so welcoming, inviting and light hearted for them. Miss Michelle & Dr. Kelty truly went above and beyond for her, were so kind and patient with her fear and being upset. They gave us so much info on caring for her newly developed teeth, and were even equally as kind and gracious with an emotional mom who obviously hates seeing her daughter cry lol. 5 stars just isn't enough for this team, I don't typically leave reviews, but these amazing people cannot go unnoticed and they deserve the recognition! So happy my daughters dental health will be in such good hands going forward. Thank you ladies! (Also, she loves her fishy! She hasn't let go of it since we got home!)

I love this dentist office, not only because they are great with both of my children, whom theywere able to schedule on the same day together. The staff is amazing! I recently found out my daughter who is 3 needed quite a bit of work done, to the point that she would have to be out under at the hospital. Obviously as a mother I was upset, with myself, and felt guilty. Then Crystal ( Chrissy) she told us to call her, came in to talk to us about getting her scheduled that she would be the one doing the scheduling. It was pretty evident that I was upset and she went out of her way to make me feel better and explain to me that I should not feel guilty, these things happen and I was going about it the right way I had them there I was fixing the issue anyway as much as I could. By the time that we left the office I was no longer in tears I was laughing she made me genuinely feel like she cared about my children and about how upset I was. She didn't have to pull me to the side, she could have just went about her day and cared less. But she is obviously a very caring person and it meant so much to me that she took the time out of her day to reassure me that my baby was going to be okay.and it's normal to feel the way I was feeling. So my five stars are for Chrissy and how awesome she made our family feel and for the other nurses who cleaned the teeth of my children they were both fantastic and Dr kelty and Dr Rider are definitely two pediatric dentists that I would recommend to anyone.

Good thing Kim in the office doesn't clean your children's teeth. She is just mean. Nasty on the phone and in person. Ask for someone else if Kim answers the phone. Her favorite thing to do is to make you feel awful if you have a $26 balance you forgot about. My kids both enjoy seeing both dentists and always have a positive experience (once past the front desk).

I never leave reviews, but this office really is amazing! My kids see Dr. Kelty and she is so great with them. We love the entire staff. They are great at what they do and make the kids feel completely comfortable.

My daughter absolutely adores Dr. Rider. This is very important to me because as a kid I did not like to go to my dentist and stopped going when I was a teenager. I wish I would have had a de ntist like Dr. Rider when I was a kid because I wouldn't have been scared to go. He makes my 3 year old daughter feel comfortable and she thinks it's fun to go, she'll even want to play dentist and says she wants to be a dentist now at home! I am so happy to have been referred to Dr. Rider, he truly is the beest pediatric Dentist!!! The only complaint I have is the chairs in the patient room. I am unable to sit in them because the arms are so narrow.

We had appointments for both of our daughters and as it happens they both had things scheduled last minute. YOu know the working parents running in different directions and trying to get it all done, which is quite the norm these days. Anyway, got to the office early. Explained the chaos of the day and Dr Rider and his team made every effort to get us out and thru the checkup process seamlessly helping our family avoid unneeded stress. He also took time to answer all my questions, as he always does and set realistic expectations of my teenager. The front staff and hygienists are also so kind, helpful, friendly and amazing!

We were able to get in the same day with a fractured tooth after being turned down by 3 other local dentists that I tried calling f or 2 days. The staff was so accommodating, and friendly, and so was the dentist. Very thorough and addressed all concerns. Thank you, we will be back!
