I had an appointment that I missed. This appointment was scheduled 3 months back and due to personal situation, I was unable to confirm back my availability against the appointment made. I never returned to any of the calls (as appointment reminder) and it should have been assumed that I cannot make it to the appointment. Instead Dr. Korbs office send me a bill of $85.00 for no show. This is quite disappointing especially when me and my entire family and has been visiting this office for last 2 years and there has been never a situation where I have missed a scheduled appointment (or not proactively called to re-schedule). It seems that that this is written in the policy which I have signed. The place where I am extremely disappointed and concerned is the "humane" element missing in the conversation. No sense of empathy or eagerness to re-consider it as "one of exception". Dentists who has been treating me and my family are good, but not that I have to continue to see them inspite of the current situation. There can be other options. I have decided to discontinue with the relationship.
