Personal Life Testimony of Dr. David Campbell:As the third generation of my family to serve Southern California with dental care, our family has been extremely blessed with the honor of successfully serving grateful patients from lower economic communities over the last 80 years. Because I grew up in such a successful family, my early years were blessed with all the comforts of life. I pursued happiness and success in the same manners as most young men. And in high school, I had some measure of success in life. I competed nationally in aquatics, was student body president, with good grades, and was honored with a college scholarship to Occidental College. As I left my parents guidance, unfortunate choices began to inhibit my success. I was humbled with a number of significant personal challenges. I am grateful for those trials now, for God was using these to call me to a devout life serving Christ wholeheartedly. Though life continues to challenge me, I look to Christs own healing ministry and prayer to guide my steps. Since then, God has blessed me with more excellence in my life than I could have ever obtained on my own, and I am grateful for the way the Lord uses this lifes challenges for His excellent glory.Life Moto: To whom much is given, much is required.

I am a Google Guide but today I was just a person in pain from a broken tooth. I have never been SO disappointed with a business as I am with this office. I scheduled an appointment for myself before going out of state to train, as I am a bodyguard and have been investing in myself with current, respectable training organizations. I called and spoke with a very nice female who took the time to listen to me and what I am going through. I expressed wanting to get the help I have needed for quite a while and she was very professional, knowledgeable and I thought I found the right Dental office as was referred to. I was told to call Wednesday evening September 7th, in the event someone would cancel for Thursday morning but was scheduled for Friday at 11am. I called Wednesday evening and spoke with a different female, possibly the receptionist and was told no one had cancelled and was offered to go in Thursday morning and sit in the lobby in the event a patient did not show up. I explained that I work 8 - 12 hour nights, 6 days a week and I would not have the energy to just sit and wait but that I would be willing to check in with her based on my energy level and would prefer to keep my Friday 11am appointment. I did not have the energy to go in Thursday morning because I was very busy at my night job and explained to ALL staff that I spoke with that I am also helping my Fiance watch her Frenchie because her mom is very ill in the hospital, going on 2 months now. I watch her Frenchie all day while she is with her Mom at the hospital all day. I walked in for my appointment on Friday morning at 11am and based on the female employees voice sitting at the desk it was the same person who offered me to sit and wait in the lobby on Thursday morning. She said, " you have no appointment today, I cancelled it and rescheduled you for Thursday at 9am" This was not the understanding of what was proposed or offered to me. Frustrated, I kept calm and listened to her. She continued by saying, "I had cancellations yesterday" (Thursday). On her own she decided to cancel my appointment. Additionally, she offered for me to sit and wait in the lobby from 11am until 1pm. So I left, what is the reason to try and inquire or ask someone who makes decisions on their own. I did not receive a call from the office or her to advise me of any options that arose for Thursday. She was expecting me to sit in the lobby on Thursday morning until what time. Even after I explained the entire situation to her. This is 100% Unprofessional, Inconsiderate, Inappropriate. To make her own decision for my appointment, not to mention I had expressed to both female emoyees I am in pain. My reviews, as I have been told have reached hundreds of people, I hope this helps others before someone else ends up in the same situation losing valuable time and in pain !

Dr. Campbell was very very friendly, and his receptionists were as well but I have a big problem with this place. I went over to this place because I was in the process of paperwork to go into the U.S. Peace Corps and I was required to submit dental records. I went to this place because they could fit me in right away. When I arrived, there were no other people there. They did the examination and then before the doctor came in, I was suddenly handed a form which stated that I would agree to pay for any additional dental work suggested by the doctor. I signed it, unbeknownst to the fact that it was a set up. After the doctor examined me (again, he was very nice), he said I had three cavities, but they weren't major. I asked him at the end of his exam if it were okay and if I satisfied the requirement and he said "you're fine, no problem." So I was told to go back into the waiting room. In the waiting room, the friendly receptionist told me that I would need to pay for three fillings. I asked her how much it would cost me and she quoted it at nearly 1,000 USD. What. The. F***? I don't have 1,000 USD to just drop right then and there. I told her I didn't have that kind of money and she said "well the doctor says you need this." I said "I'm sorry, I'm only paying for the exam and that's it." She was very professional in how she handled it, however this doesn't change the fact that their bottom line as a priority extends beyond your needs as a patient. She then said "well the doctor won't approve you for the Peace Corps." I told her "The U.S. Government approves me for the Peace Corps, not the doctor." She had nothing to say after that. I paid her 100 USD and left. I tried to find another dentist who could schedule me in, but was unable to, and as a result, I missed the deadline for submission of all paperwork for the Peace Corps, and as of now, I'm not going. I was really looking forward to serving my country, but I won't be doing that now. Some people, as nice as they may be, just do not understand, or they just flat out refuse to understand that 1,000 USD is a LOT of freaking money, and not everyone has that kind of money to just drop at a minutes notice. Fast forward a few weeks later and I am now processing medical work for a government contractor, and I am required to submit dental records. This company sent me to another dentist in Altadena, and they checked out my mouth. They told me that I have one major issue that needs work, a filling in my back tooth, and they are waiting approval. I asked if I could just pay out of pocket. They said maybe but the have to wait to see whether or not it will be approved. I asked this second dentist how much it would cost, and she told me about 2-300 USD. Nowhere near 1,000 USD. Seriously. Again, they were very professional, and polite, but I wasn't born this morning. Their pricing model is clearly extortion. Sorry, but that's how I feel.

Had my 3 appointments to get a crown and asked for a teeth cleaning at each appointment and the dentist refused to clean saying he would only do a deep cleaning and that would take two additional appointments so they can bill for additional visits...very displeased some equipment is old and breaking...their compressor on my first visit..I would recommend not going there...I went there because my wife scheduled it for me....still going to make a complaint with my health care provider also

Services here is so poor. The wait time is so long even with appointment. They just kept me waiting here for more than 2 hours even though I had scheduled an appointment two weeks earlier. My experience here is horrible.
