Years ago, there was a very well respected dentist in Orange County. He had a very successful dental practice, showed a true dedication to excellence and demonstrated a true passion for the dental profession. He also had a 14-year-old patient that used to admire him and look up to him as a mentor. In fact years later, this dentist influenced his 14-year-old patient to become a dentist.
Consumers Research Council of America has compiled an accurate list of Top Dentist throughout the United States by utilizing a point value system. This method uses a point value for criteria that they deemed valuable in determining Top Dentist. The criteria that were used is as follows: experience, education, continuing education, board certification and professional association. The dentist that has accumulated a certain amount of points qualified for the list. No fees, donations, sponsorship or advertising were accepted from any individuals, professionals, corporations or associations. This policy was strictly adhered to ensuring an unbiased selection.
This distinction is awarded for continuous professional recognition, an accomplishment realized by the top American professionals. All qualifying public recognitions of excellence are certified by the american registry and include significant mentions in the press, honors by recognizing trade groups and acclaimed recognition by peers or clients.
While I am extremely proud of my accomplishments as a dentist,I am much more concerned about how you feel when you come to see me. I have worked very hard to make our office welcoming and comfortable, as well as our dental procedures an easy process. My philosophy is to treat people the way I would like to be treated. This is why I make it a point to stay compassionate to your needs and to stay informed of all the latest dental techniques. I have been fortunate in the fact that I can say my profession is my hobby. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Chu. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Chu for over 25 years. We NEVER go anywhere else! We don't live in California any more, but we still make sure we see him every time we are here. That's how much we trust him and his staff. He is very caring, methodical, kind and patient. I once had a very complicated root canal. He continued to work on it until it was perfectly done. And his staff! I can't say enough about them. They are wonderful. Marla is a delight. She makes sure all our insurance paperwork is completed and makes everything so easy for us. She does all the calling and hard work. She is so patient and caring and is always smiling. The office is incredibly well run and incredibly clean. They care about their patient's comfort and well being.

This office is the best; been coming here for over 10 years, they keep up with all the latest technology: had my first Implant placed today; Dr. Chu rocked! didn't even feel it, smooth, easy, and painless. For for all your Dental needs. Best Smile.. can't wait to see the results of the last prosthetic phase. Special thanks to Marla at the front desk

Dr. Darren Chu is an Amazing. The The problem is MARLA, his "manager" office, she is very rude, aggressive and unpleasant to patients. I have no idea how such a successful doctor holds such a "manager" like her. I am confident if he would replace her, he had Many more Patients, She makes a selection of which patients to choose, without his knowledge and for no reason, and saying "This is the Doctor "decision" ' which I'm sure he is NOT even aware of it. What a pity, without MARLA, he would have doubled and tripled the number of his patients

Dr. Chu is by far the best dentist I have ever had. I have plenty of dentists to compare him to since I am 60 and have lived in several locations. I started seeing Dr. Chu in 2000 when he fixed all my teeth and fillings and crowns. I then had braces and finally had the beautiful teeth I always wanted at age 42, thanks to Dr. Chu. I moved in 2004 to Maine and then to Florida and then to San Diego but when I moved back to Orange County in 2013 the first place I went back to for dentistry was Dr Chu. He is brilliant as well as an artist in his field, you will be very happy. The icing on the cake is ... He is very nice as is the entire staff. I highly recommend him.

What I love about Dr. Chu's Dental office is that they always make sure I get in when I need to. I always lose a filling or chip a crown or get a tooth ache when I least expect it and they get me in right away. As much as I hate going to the dentist, his entire staff make it very pleasant and enjoyable. They are all so personable and friendly. I always feel like they have my best interest in mind. I've paid more and I've paid less at other places, but Dr Chu is Just Right.

I've personally known Dr. Chu for over 10 years and he has done incredible work for my family and friends. He has done quite a bit of dental work for both my father and I and have been extremely pleased with his work. In addition, I have also referred my friends to Dr. Chu and they are very pleased with his work. He is the type of dentist who explains the procedures to you as well as show you visually which puts the patient at great ease. If you are looking for a dentist who does excellent work at a very reasonable price, then Dr. Chu is your person!!!

I have been coming here for a few years now. Very sweet staff, responsive and understanding. Have had a lot of repair work done and have been very happy with it. Have had a few emergency's after hours and Dr. Chu was always responsive!! Have fallen asleep while getting a root canal and fillings quite a few times
