Dr. Cynthia Mikula has spent most of her life in the Cleveland area. She attended Wittenberg University for her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology, and she attended Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Cynthia Mikula enjoys all aspects of dentistry, the procedures and the patients who she treats like family. Her interest in cosmetic dentistry has lead her to pursue studying and performing esthetic facial procedures such as botullin toxin injections (Botox, Xeomin), dermal fillers( Radiess, Juvaderm, Belotero) and Aerolase laser procedures.
Dr. Cynthia Mikula uses state of the art dental equipment intraoral scanners, digital x-rays, CariVu to trans-illuminate teeth and Diagnodent to help identify tooth issues when they are still very small and her clinic is located Bay Dental in Bay Village Ohio.
She is a member of the Greater Cleveland Dental Society, Ohio Dental Association, American Dental Association, Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity, The Cleveland Association of Advanced Dental Education, American Academy of Facial Esthetics. She routinely attends continuing education seminars to keep up to date on all the latest dental and esthetic advancements.
A graduate from Lorain County College, I have been practicing dental hygiene for 5 years. I fell in love with the dental field at a very young age and I am very passionate about practicing dental hygiene. I am married and have one dog and one cat. I absolutely and enjoy cooking, bicycling, swimming and skiing.
Donna has worked with Dr. Mikula for 26 years, starting as her assistant until attending hygiene school at Lorain County Community College in 1997. Since 1999, Donna has been a Registered Dental Hygienist in Dr. Mikulas office. Donna is knowledgeable in all aspects of dental hygiene, being thorough and gentle at the same time.
Patsy has been Dr. Mikulas Office Manager for 21 years. She is very adept at dealing with dental insurances to help the patient utilize his/her maximum dental benefits. She grew up in Lorain and moved to Avon a few years ago. Patsy enjoys spending time with her 5 grandchildren and her English Bulldog, Pippa.
Diane is a Certified Dental Assistant who has worked with Dr. Mikula for 6 years. She is extremely competent and professional, having been an assistant for 42 years. She especially likes working with our elderly patients. Diane enjoys the interaction with patients and is very good at explaining upcoming procedures. She is committed to helping patients have the healthiest teeth possible.
Mary Lou is a receptionist who has worked with Dr. Mikula on and off over many years. She assists Patsy with the everyday office tasks to help our office run as efficiently as possible. Mary Lou is very upbeat and adds a positive vibe to our office.

I've been seeing Dr Mikula for years. She is wonderful. I just had a root canal done today with absolutely no pain whatsoever. She's the best! Her staff is incredible as well. Thank you!

Let's face it, going to the dentist is no one's favorite! However, after going to Dr.Mikula's office, it is now one of my favorite places to go. From the receptionist to the hygienist, I was greeted with a warm a friendly smile and the utmost professionalism! Donna, the hygienist is extremely thorough and always checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable during my x-rays and cleaning. She educated me on several things I did now about my teeth and how to properly clean them. Dr.Mikula is extremely thorough as well and discovered two cavities. Their entire staff is just full of love and you can tell everyone loves their jobs. I never thought I would say this about a dentist, but I honestly can't wait to go back- and yes even for those fillings! But, don't take my word for it, go experience Dr.Mikula's dentistry for yourself!

First of all I am afraid of the dentist lol Upon entry the waiting room was very welcoming. Patsy instantly made me feel comfortable and felt like a friend. I had such an excellent experience I'm going back Wednesday lol. Dr. Mikula is such a great dentist and radiates a warm and caring person and not just a walk through the motions dentist. Diane also did an excellent job educating me and she was delightful. THANK YOU EVERYONE!

I have never loved Dentist more than I love Dr. Mikula! I've had oral trauma so I have been to many dentists. I have been going to her for a few years now. She and her staff are always friendly and professional. When it comes to basic things like cleaning they are great! Recently I've had more extensive cosmetic work done. I got veneers and they walked me through every step of the process. They were patient with my questions. They went above and beyond to make sure that I was physically and mentally comfortable during the process. They took the time to make sure that the end result was exactly what I wanted. After 30 years I finally have a smile that I am proud of thanks to Dr. Mikula and her team. I have referred friends to Dr. Mikula and they love her as well. 20/10 would recommend!
